Certain dvd players can be made 'region free', meaning that you can play a dvd from anywhere in the world. All you need is a code to unlock it. To find out if your dvd player is one, check out this site:

Favorite things: * When my 2 cats curl up next to me at night. * When my husband curls up next to me at night. :) * Sleeping in late. * Getting a letter or an email from a friend I haven't spoken to in a while. * Traveling - anywhere! * Walking in the mountains on a cold, crisp fall day. * Tiramisu...

'Figwit - The Documentary'

Someone I know just went to the opening in NZ, and said it was fantastic. Especially the interviews with people like Peter Jackson, Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood talking about 'Figwit Mania'. Did anyone else go to this? Was Bret there? Anyone take photos? Get DNA samples? Anyone?.......Anyone?

Ha! My first reaction was also 'How can I get to Texas this March?'.

After the intial excitement has worn down, I think i'll wait and see if they do any more shows in the States, preferably one closer to home.

Okay, in addition to The Black Seeds, and Video Kid, I'm am now adding Flash Harry, Fat Freddy's Drop and Phoenix Foundation to my Kiwi Band Obsession List. Of course F o the C would be on the list, but I don't know if they technically qualify for that category. They are, however, #1 on my Guitar-B...

Another great film to add to my 'Best of 2005' list: Walk the Line. You don't even have to be a Johnny Cash fan to appreciate the story and the amazing performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. Two BIG thumbs up.

Sounds cool - too bad it will probably never play over here, and I won't get to see it. :( There is a very simple remedy to your problem. Fly to NZ and see the movie there. Ta da! Presto! Problem solved!!!!! :D  Why didn't I think of that? In fact, let's all fly down there for the premiere!

I hope that they are able to release something here in the States someday. Then they would have an excuse to tour!

Cool! How fun to see my question answered. :D I have actually heard of The Matterhorn- I guess that was a popular place for some of the 'LotR' cast to hang out at when they were there. And i've heard of Bar Bogota too - since they have an endorsement from Jemaine, now I have to go there!
