Wow, a ukulele! Cool!

Today, I bought a pair of navy blue silky kiddie PJs with shiny silver stars, and a huge black and gold fringed scarf. Both were to make dd2 a costume for a play she's in next week. Not quite as impressive as a ukulele, but I love rifling around in charity shops looking for costumes :)
That's the conclusion that I've come to, but...

I'll try to get a 'rocking out' pic once I've picked it up - that would be totally awesome, man!

Had lunch at Panera Bread today (love that place, although I hear that although you think you're eating healthy there, it's actually full of fat, which is probably why it tastes so good! :snakeman: ), then picked up some groceries. (nothing exciting)

I think it's great Biscuit that you want to get back into playing guitar. I bought my daughter a guitar for Christmas (or actually Santa Claus brought it). I'm thinking of trying it out for myself. She's gotten fairly good already with her book and lesson dvd, so I'm considering getting her lessons, if we can afford it.

I got mine from my mum and dad when I turned 17, but after a few months the novelty wore off  I definitely want to send my kids to music school if their keen. As for me I'm fine with a book or two and any chords I can find on the net  You should have a go, Corrine! It's fun :D

Seconded! It's total fun, even for the musically inept like me!

I'm building some mighty fine calluses on the fingers of my left hand now. It sort of numbs them so that playing doesn't hurt, although the lowered sensitivity feels a bit odd when I type :P At the moment I'm playing House of Rising Sun ad nauseam to get better at plucking the strings. I really suck at that :P

(Feeling odd sensation of veering off topic once more... Should we have a guitar thread I wonder  )

Today between dance performances I bought the yummiest Booster Juice smoothie I've ever had. I think that smoothie is what got me through the next performance without falling over from exhaustion.
