But if you did I'd hold you tight / Into every single night
And we'd fall asleep together / And we'd wake up in the sunlight
Well, maybe I'm a dreamer / But maybe one day you'll see / That dreams are...

Hasn't it?? It feels like only yesterday when we were all stockpiling water and tins of food for the inevitable year 2000 Collapse of All Things Computery and the ensuing riots, lol. (I actually still have a couple of gallons of water in the basement...I use it for the steam setting on the iron, which isn't very often.)

I hope everyone has a good time tonight either at home or out and that we're all safe in our beds in early 2010.

Thanks Laura! I guess you could do both. 8)

Ah yes... memories of stock piling food. Those were the days! My mom told me to clean my toilet really well and also to fill all my tubs and sinks as I might be drinking out of those. So clean I did. Her tales of how we would be herded into concentration camps running through my head as I scrubbed. I lived in a gambling town in New Mexico during Y2k. Coincidentally, the power went off at around 11 or so. At midnight, being sort of rowdy town, people starting firing off guns. I thought "Oh crap it's starting!" So here I am, my tubs and sinks full, huddled in the floor with a flashlight and a kitchen knife prepared to fight and die for my canned food and water. I slept precious little and used a jar all night. I went out the next day armed to the teeth surprised to find the world was fine. Every New Year since has been much, much better! Here's to 2010 may it be knife fight free for all of us!

I consider it a good year if I don't have to engage in a knife fight, lol.

Wow things were different in "the year 2000" (cue Conan O'Brien music). This time back then I was out of my skull in the middle of the Everglades at a three day Phish festival. They played from midnight until dawn on NYE. Now I'm sitting here on the couch, in my pajamas, messing around on the computer and watching The Lion King with my kids, lol. How things have changed. ;) I'm happy though.

DT I love your new sig. I can not BELIEVE nobody has said anything about my Funniest Member. (Not that I'm fishing for compliments or anything. ;))

Thank you! :D I've been looking at your sig actually and trying to figure it what the blue thing with the rainbow wig is.. thinking "That's very cute whatever the heck it is, but what is that?" I think I finally figured it out via "context clues". hehe That's quite a trophy you got there Mock!
