Garfunkel and Oates

Postby ItsAllRyche » Thu Sep 18, 2014 3:43 am

Have any of you seen the IFC series Garfunkel and Oates. Pure:

Every time it is on I silently (mostly) scream!!! Talk about a rip-off of the FOTC.

Wikipedia:
"Garfunkel and Oates is an American comedy–folk duo from Los Angeles, California, consisting of actress–songwriters Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome."

Yeah, barf! practically everything is copied, down to bad wallpaper!! aaarrgghhh! And IMHO it is NOT funny.

In case some of you have viewed it and like it for that I apologize. but to those who have not seen it...let me know how you feel about it after you look it up.

I remember some members posting about Garfunkel & Oates on here and liking some of their YouTube videos. Haven't watched their show but they have been viewed as the female FOTC for a while so I can imagine there being similarities with their TV show.

Wow - I did a YouTube search for Garfunkel and Oates, and after just the first two pages of search results I couldn't see anything I actually wanted to click on. Just the titles of the YouTube clips were so offensive that I didn't want to listen to the songs. I'm already familiar with Kate Micucci anyway from Big Bang Theory and her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and I don't find her very entertaining.

Makes me appreciate the sweetness of Brett and Jemaine all the more. Nice clean songs on their show (well, except maybe singing about dicks on a dance floor or a threesome with Stu ..... :P )

Hey there, Clea. They do have quirky song titles. I remember one of their songs being called "Pregnant women are smug"

I recently noticed that Jemaine is following Garfunkel & Oates and Kate Micucci on Twitter so maybe he's seen their TV show.
