Brrr! We're getting a cold(er) snap here again. It's warmed up to -3C after hovering around -9C most of the day. Supposedly, some parts of the country are supposed to get down to -15C tonight! We might get some more light snow in the next few days, too. Even I'm kind of agreeing with eejm at this point, and I actually like cold weather!

We had snow showers a lot today, I went to do a short show this evening, and when we came outside afterwards the whole parking lot was frozen solid, as was my car - I couldn't unlock it for awhile. Waiting in the icy wind for my key to work in the lock made my ears freeze! The trip home was pretty treacherous.
Tomorrow temps are supposed to be outrageously cold, with wind chills of -7. :nails: Glad it's an inside day. :doomed:

I hate winter driving, even though I have winter tires I'm still nervous about driving, last week was rough because of the drifting snow and strong winds making the roads icy :nails: We hit a high of -18 but with the wind chill it was more like -30, typical January weather here.

LikeACurry, it's a little bit like that today here too with a high of -15C (5F). Fortunately it's only about the second time so far this winter that it's gotten that cold. And, it's sunny, yay!

Yesterday was a little crazy when I looked out my window. At work I'm on the sixth floor and for a good couple of hours it was snowing these beautiful fluffy clumps of snowflakes. Sometimes the conditions are such that the snow seems to be going in every direction - down, up, or side to side. It's quite freaky. Then later, I looked out and it was blizzard conditions with fog, but somehow the light of the setting sun was coming through the haze. Very post apocalyptic. Wish I'd had my camera. Driving home was tricky, fortunately I didn't have far to go.

18 here today. We had 60 degrees on Monday, I woke up to snow yesterday and today we're in the deep freeze. Weird.

It's a brisk 19 F here now, wind chill of -1 F, winds between 30 and 40 mph. The worst is they're saying this will seem warm tomorrow.

They're calling for a wind chill of -14F tomorrow! Heya biscuit, now we have an idea of what you were going through!

The weather has been out of whack around here too, it was -30 to -40 during the holidays, then mid-January was a balmy -5 and now we're back to the -20ish weather. We don't have much snow either, not like other winters. Its been a weird winter :hrm:

Well, the wind has died down, so we're having a heatwave - 23 degrees F.

I hope all those hit by that snowstorm further south are okay. :worry:

Wow, we haven't heard anything from those affected by the 2ft snowfall last weekend. You okay?

Right now we're a third of the way through a nasty snowstorm. We're getting hit with heart-attack snow - the really heavy stuff that is so hard to shovel. I'm going out in a while to see if I can shovel a few times to keep up with it, or if it's too much and I should hire somebody. It's really only the front steps and a path to the garage, so it's not too much, but I'm well aware of the dangers of overdoing it. I lost a friend a few years ago. I promise I won't be foolish.
I just hope we don't lose power. :worry:
How are the rest of you doing?

They are predicting 18" here. At the moment it sounds like ice smacking the windows.
