Cool sky, Faith!

I may do something indoors today. It's just too cold and grey and bleh outside to go roaming.

With biscuit's car theme in mind, I took my camera with me when I went grocery shopping.

First I got this shot, which beautifully shows the trouble a lot of people seem to have with parallel parking. I saw three cars parked like this on this one street!

Then I got a shot of this car, which I see regularly. I like the flowers on it.

My picture would have been a lot more interesting if I would have had a real camera. I could have zoomed in and you could have seen all the lovely oil refineries and chemical plants that are around here.

I like your parallel parking photo. And I thought I was bad at parallel parking... at least I stay off of the sidewalk. I'm going to try some car pictures today, see what I can come up with.

I've recently mastered the art of parallel parking. The key is to get the butt of the car as close to the curb on the first try then the rest falls in to place easily. Perhaps this is something most people know but I just learned it. :yawinkle:

I love pics of water. I took this one recently and it's one of my faves.

Haha, nice parking  I'm a real perfectionist when it comes to parking. I'd rather use 10 minutes and get it right, than leave my car even slightly askew :P

The water and ice shot was cool, SW. The ice looks like a monster!

I'm a total lurker on this thread. I'm really enjoying everyone's photographs. My camera sucks, but I'm in the market for a nice one. What camera's do you photogs use? Any advice for a newbie? Keep in mind that the ability to take mouthwateringly great concert pics without getting nabbed by security is top priority. Are you all using digital? Does anyone use real film anymore?

This isn't 'today's' photo, but an interesting and beautiful detail from an old timber building, not far from where I work, that I snapped a few days ago:)

Panda:  the robo cam :D

Nonch: I'm a grade A amateur. I have no idea what make my camera is :worry: *goes to check*

Ok, my 'work' camera is a Canon G11. I really like it! It is more compact than our own Canon EOS 350D, but it takes great pics .... as far as I can tell

Ooo! Great detail, biscuit!

My camera is a Sony Cybershot Super Steady Shot DSC-H5 with a 12x optical zoom. It's not a DSLR -- someday! -- but it's also not exactly the most unobtrusive camera. I'm the only person in the world without a cell phone, but I'd like to get one with a decent camera phone for quick shots when I don't want to lug around a full-size camera.

Today's pic (proper). I made biscuits :)

A question for the Flickr users: Can you embed photos here straight from there? I tried earlier, but all I got was a red x :worry:

Biscuit, you can click on "all sizes" (above the photo), pick the size you want, then right click and "view image". Then just copy the url and put it between the [img] tags.
