I'll have to take a pic of the leg now...you almost can't tell it ever looked that bad.

That's good to hear.

I was bitten by a spider once and I had a bad reaction - I had a big red ring on my torso around the bite that spread to giant size and lasted for several months but for me the worst was I had a fever and a terribly sore neck and head for about a week. Ugh I thought I was going to die.

I'm allergic to cats and if a cat scratches me I get a similar but much less severe reaction around the scratch. THAT is unpleasant enough, I can only imagine what you went through.

I love the idea of a bobble head Einstein being given out in a Happy Meal!

Panda, that photo of the pitcher/ice is all kinds of awesome!

Would Einstein have eaten a meal at McDonald's or would he have been smart enough to stay away? :hrm:

I'm pretty sure the MC in E=MC2 originally stood for McDonald's. ;) Einstein was really craving a couple of Quarter Pounders that day.

I had a wonderful time inspecting the collection at the museum where I'm responsible for interpretation. As of now there is no proper plan for interpretation and I'm really enjoying walking around there just letting my imagination run wild. :D

The largest of the old farm buildings on the site.

Details from a cupboard. I dare say the woodcarver was a wee bit more skilled than the painter, although I do like the spear-carrying hunter on horseback

And this is my favourite so far. A wooden carrying case with a shoulder strap and a nice little lock. What is hidden inside turns out to be old books belonging to a travelling teacher, from a time when children were taught at the farms.I especially like the glasses. This item I am hoping to build a living history experience around in time.

I'm loving everyone's photos! The fabric painting your daughter did when she was 8 biscuit is seriously impressive! :thumb: Also, that bobble head Einstein from McDonald's is quite awesome, mock.

I'm glad people enjoyed the pic I took of the O2 arena near the river whilst I was in Docklands. I loved the way the lights reflected on the water too, Indigo. And it really does look like a UFO emerging from the water.

Nice, Laura.
I'm inspired to frame the poster from their new album, but I'd like to be able to switch it around so I can see the shot taken in Radio City sometimes. Hmmm. :hrm:

Laura that was so thoughtful of your friend. And I'm so jealous of your Michigan poster, that's one of my favorrites.

OK well, once again I was unable to leave my house. The school called me to come pick up my son around 10 AM because he was running a fever. So, here he is sick on the couch.

:( Poor kid. Then I chased my daughter around the house, trying to take her picture while she tried to escape, lol. She really didn't want me to take her picture but she was willing to make a game out of it. ;)

I finally cornered her.

Is it spring yet?

Hmmmm....maybe buy 2 cheap poster frames, remove the cardboard backings, place the poster in between, glue them together on the edges and voila! You can switch sides when the mood strikes.....

(I know...impractical and you'd probably have to punch a hole or something on each outer frame to ba able to hang them.....)

What about taking it to Kinko's and having it laminated and hang it like that?

Yes...it's getting late and I'm coming up with silly ideas....

I actually had to re-do the show poster today because I hadn't put the tickets inside yet...it's cheap so I just had to pry up those little metal jobbies that lay against the cardboard. If you got one like that it'd only take a few minutes to switch it round when the mood strikes....:)
