I promised I'd post pics from my runway show and here they are. Hope you like them.... This is why I haven't been around in a while. Jemaine wasn't at the show which was a bit disappointing. I'm not surprised though because he didn't even know it was on.

It should be noted that in the third picture, the skirt is a different length. It was supposed to be that long (to the knees) but the bi-yatch stylist decided to make it shorter on the final night (as seen in pics 1 and 2), without my permission. I was furious. I asked the model what happened after the show... the stupid stylist had told her that "I" had wanted it that way and it was all okay. So, the skank changed my design and lied to my model. @$%&!!!

Beautiful dresses!!!! I can sew, but nothing like that. Glad to hear that everything went well...except for stylists who want to be designers. :x

Very beautiful. I love the details of the pearls and such. Though how bizarre someone would muss up the design of a pretty thing like the first one.

What gets me is that I can't wear hats like that in day-to-day life :(

Great designs. I like the first one and the blue dress the best. Not that I'd look good in either but a woman can dream

Glad it was a success for you :)

Boy, do I feel low. I missed your post Cassandra. I hope you understand with my recent move and all...

Thanks for the pics in a separate email or I would've missed them. As I said before, you are my new favorite designer. :D The powder blue dress is still my fave and I wish you all the best in your career. You're folkin' awesome girl.

Guys, my latest book, JUST A TASTE, is out January 2nd!

Postby deirdrelev » Wed Dec 12, 2007 4:21 pm

I decided it's time I stop being shy and let those of you who don't know that I'm A USA Today Bestselling Author of romance novels. I write under my maiden name, Deirdre Martin. You can check out my webspage at: www.deirdremartin.com. I also have a profile page at myspace under deirdreelizabethmartin. If any of you are myspacers (I know Cassandra is), feel free to stop by and if you want, make a friend request. Anyone who loves FOTC is a friend of mine, obviously.

Anyway, my next book is coming out in January, and it's getting good reviews, so I'm very happy. Don't know if any of you read romances, but if you do...would love if you gave me a chance.

I've been trying to convince my editor that the hero of my next book needs to be from NZ, but no luck so far. Still, I'll keep trying.

Cheers,

Deirdre

I'm not much of a girly girl, but those dresses are gorgeous!

I've had a dry spell in everything lately, and have recently spat this new drawing up:

I have mixed feelings with how it came out.
It makes me regret not ever taking art classes. Oh well.
My next "detailed" drawing proj. is Jemaine...just need to find the right reference...and not do it on school notes

Not sure where to put this, but I'm proud of the boys:

That's my son on lead vocals, with their "sexified" version of "Business Time." This was a benefit his band, The Flying Pigs, put together for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Was that a reference to the then undefeated Patriots?

You should be proud! Your son is good. :D

I also love the light blue dress. Great work, Cassandra!

Is that a Johnny Depp/Sweeney Todd drawing? Excellent, Roxy!
