Were were quite far over on the side of the stage so I got neither a disapproving eye nor a loving eye. Good spot for sneaky camera work though. Apologies to Breteros. From that angle I hardly saw him at all.

I think he glanced sidelong at you, recognized who he was seeing, and decided to allow you to continue with no threats of phone violence. :)

From what little I saw of Bret it looked like he had on a button-down that he removed at some point, yes?

Should we take it as a positive sign that they wore different clothes for two shows in a row?!?

To answer some questions....

The stomp box was present. Bret talked about it a bit.

Don't remember the setlist. I'm terrible at that. I think they played for almost exactly an hour.

I've posted some pretty good pics before, but only took a couple of cell phone pics this time. Never know if they'll tour here again, so I left my stuff home and just tried to enjoy the show.

Trying to remember more. The recorder(?) addition to the instrument lineup was a nice touch. Only Bret could pull that off and still seem cool. And when I saw the flute, I was like "huh! who is going to play the flute?" and then Jemaine just blew on it. Haha. I also don't recall Jemaine playing an electric bass, except on the tv show.

There was a part where Jemaine was moving his little table and jokingly yelled at their tech guy for not doing it. Talked about acting like a dbag like Lou Reed. Was funny.

Radiohead cover was a nice surprise. Something always gets in the way for me seeing Radiohead live, so a tiny victory there.

My friend and I got used(?) guitar picks.

Your seat was made for a true Jemainiac, SW. ;)

Hi Suz. Yes, I'm glad they are showing some variety in their clothing at these shows. I guess we'll see how long they'll keep it up during Oddball though!

No problem at all, Deirdre. You don't need to thank me for only posting the vids. Gotta thank SheWolf for her great camerawork. :thumb:

Thanks for all the details, Cuse. Were you sitting in the same area as SW? Does anyone know which songs Bret used the recorder for? I absolutely adored the addition of Creep. Must have been wonderful to witness it live. Both you and SW are very fortunate to have seen Bret & Jemaine in such a cozy setting which is rare opportunity for fans these days. You're amazing for offering SW those extra tickets. :thumb: It's a shame there wasn't any merch for you to buy but I guess it's due to the fact that these shows aren't officially part of a tour. I'm looking forward to reading about the merch that will be on offer during Oddball.

Pics and vids of the final night at The McKittrick:
Short clip of Hurt Feelings (Jemaine's addition )
Short clip of them performing Creep
Too Many Dicks #1 (quick conga line )
Too Many Dicks #2
Too Many Dicks #3
Short clip of Most Beautiful Girl

This is about when Brett interrupted the song to reprimand me for taking a video. "This is a private moment between you and me. I better not see it on YouTube."

Maybe he's just happy to be there. :waggle: :P
Actually, it's probably filled with pics of his kids.

I can't get over how cozy that place seems. Must have been an amazing experience to see them there. Lucky folks.

I see J still has the hat. Thankfully he didn't wear that during our show.

Cuse & I and our +1s sat at a cozy leather backed round table at the side of the stage & there was table service. The decor is very dark & deco. It's meant to look like an old train dining car or lounge or something. It's a bit eerie and very cool.

Hello all - haven't been here for quite some time, but nice to see you again.

Yes, I also am glad there was no hat. It was wonderful to observe his lovely hairline on the back of his head, (which is a perfect shape as SW mentioned someplace, BTW), at the neckline. And I also enjoyed seeing that he was wearing no socks with his leather shoes. This particular little detail would not have been seen had we been sitting in front of him as his pant legs came down over the front of the shoes somewhat. From our vantage point, we could see his ankles which showed because he had his feet up on the rungs of the stool which gave him just the right bend of the knees to lift the back of the pant legs to expose said area. It was also fun to watch every little muscle movement in his arms as he strummed his guitars with such finesse.

I saw things I never saw before....up close.

Hi SA. The venue sounds very cool and what a lovely description of all the details you got to see up close in such an intimate setting. Definitely an experience to treasure. :)

Thank you for all these photos and videos. The opportunity to be so up close and personal with Bret & Jemaine is a rare one indeed. They just get sexier and sexier as they get older.
