10 days? I only put it up yesterday.
As if it would take 10 days for you to notice something new in the Nigel thread Helen

I actually think this is really cool, in March he was narrating an orchestral piece for children called "Dirty Beasts and Other Stories", partly based on Roald Dahl's stories. :D

Finally, a collaboration with the real New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Nigel  ;)

Free family day with NZSO at Te Papa
September 17, 2010

Press Release – NZ Symphony Orchestra

Pint-sized knights and princesses will be dancing in the aisles when the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra puts on a free day of musical family entertainment at Te Papa on Sunday 26 September.

The NZSO Family Fun Day offers under-twelves the chance to learn about each of the instruments that make up an orchestra.

The day begins at 10.30am when the “NZSO in Miniature” ensemble offers little ones plenty of fun and giggles, performing everything from The Simpsons theme to YMCA.

From noon they perform the much-loved children’s classic Peter and the Wolf by Prokofiev, conducted by Luke Dollman.

At 2pm, children will experience “Daring Deeds and Fantastic Adventures” – a concert of symphonic music inspired by myths and fairy stories.

Narrated by Nigel Collins of Flight of the Conchords fame, this is a day of musical excitement and learning in disguise.

This event is supported by The Community Trust of Wellington.

Nigel plays the cello in Ed Sheeran's new song "I See Fire" for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug! :D I saw Ed tweet that he plays all the instruments in the song apart from the cello so I should have known Nigel was involved. ;)

You can see Nigel from 3:36 8)

I like the song too! I guess the length works for the long credits at the end. ;) Very cool that Nigel was involved. 8)
