Shivers, non ob. Just bring the whole family with you. Road trip!! Ha.

Awww. Wish that you could be there. Next time though, still working on a WTF meet up in Chicago or somewhere midway where lots of us can gush Conchords together in the flesh. :hrm:

I don't think my Great Aunt Vida would find Arj amusing. I want to see him, I never have. We had Eugene as our FotC opener. I would love to see Kristen Schall too.

Yis, Yis, Yis on the Chicago (or therabouts) WTF meetup! :D Midwest USA WTFers unite! :thumb:

(Oh, and a concert would have been a great excuse to get away... :###: :( But I can't disappoint everyone. Big Norwegian extended family deal.)

I have tickets for the 11th, I'm going with my friend who went to a couple of the midwest FOTC shows with me.

Off topic but on the subject of Lakeshore Theater - they're hosting a ton of stuff starting tonight through this weekend for the TBS Just for Laughs festival. I'm guessing no one on this board is a huge Andy Dick fan but maybe Michael Showalter?

Michael Showalter? Yes!

Andy Dick? Not so much.

 If only I were in Chicago.

I heart Michael Showalter. The farting butterfly "preview" sketch for M&MHI seems like a pale comparison of the epileptic dogs recording session but I'm a sucker for hot nerdy comedians fake-fighting in enclosed spaces.

Sorry, back to Arj...

He's a comedian. I was introduced to him through a hilarious movie called Wet Hot American Summer (one of my favs!) but he's probably best known for being part of a sketch comedy trio called Stella, which also includes David Wain and Michael Ian Black.

Michael Showalter has a new sketch show with Michael Ian Black that premiers on comedy central next month, Michael & Michael Have Issues. Ummm, if you look now at the show site, you'll see pictures of the two of them decked out in tight shiny space suits with wigs standing in front of synthesiers and playing guitar. Sound familiar? http://www.michaelandmichaelhaveissues.com/

Showalter also did a series of (assumedly fake) interviews with other comedians that you can see on youtube, the Michael Showalter Showalter

He's also done stuff with Eugene Mirman I think.

Cool, are you gals going to the early show or the late one? We're going to the late.
