Two seasons of the Naked Samoans' cartoon TV show can be seen on LinkTV in the States:

I don't get a lot of the jokes, but it has a good spirit and broad, earthy humor.

Oscar Kightly, who interviewed Jemaine on NZ Radio last year also is a subject of a documentary LinkTV has played in the past, and now I want to see, "Made in Taiwan".
He takes a DNA test to determine where his Samoan ancestors came from and is quite surprised by the results.

I'll keep an eye peeled for showings.

I not normally a fan of Bro Town at all (in fact I usually actively dislike it) but that bit with our boys and the Finns was quite clever! Hmmm, methinks the presence of our boys can make anything enjoyable - I am, perhaps, a little biased? :D I particularly liked Bret & Jem's 'discussion' on who suggested the idea of switching costumes and the appearance of the stripey jersey cracked me up!

Haha I saw that clip and I've never seen Bro Town and did really see the humor in it but I have to agree I liked FOTC's bit with the Finn brothers! Thanks for posting that MM

They are running Bro'Town on Tuesdays at 11 pm EST on LinkTV. LinkTV I think is available on most expanded cable and basic satellite systems. It's an interesting channel because it shows TV filmed all over the world from sitcoms to music programs to documentaries.

I was just happy that I stumbled across an episode that had NZ music giant Chris ("Not Given Lightly", Tall Dwarfs) Knox in a cameo.

Last month Cinemoi (a US satellite channel that runs foreign movies) ran Samoan Wedding (aka Sione's Wedding). It's written by Oscar Kightly, and with Oscar and Dave Fane in lead roles. Madelyn Sami has a good support role.

It's pretty silly but lots of fun. Gives you a little insight into NZ Samoan culture, even though it's more than a little stereotypical as far as I can tell.

I've watched Sione's (Samoan) Wedding and thought it was pretty good! It seems to be a popular NZ movie in general. There's a sequel so I need to check that out as well. :)
