What the Folk!

I really, really loved this one. Jemaine is absolutely adorable. Seriously, I want to snuggle him and pinch his cheeks and tell him how cute he is. I really enjoyed what they did with Choir of Ex-Girlfriends - I thought it matched the song perfectly. What were those weird keytar-type things they both had? They were adorably dorky-looking.

The first song had me ROLLING on the floor. That was truly hilarious.

HURRAY!!! Loved it!

Did anyone else notice the disco light in the first song? With the two balls on the end... that had me laughing so hard I snorted.

I was re-watching it a few minutes ago, and I hadn't seen Jemaine in the doorway before when Bret and Murray are looking for him.


Really loved this episode. I was "awing" during the Ex-girlfriend song. It's cute.

I was positively screaming with laughter throughout this one! I hope "Too Many Dicks on the Dancefloor" is the single on iTunes tomorrow. And the Ozzie Anti-Defamation League is gonna be all over their asses!

Their fake instruments were video editing machines circa 1985. Very clever of them!

Last week I smiled, this week I belly-laughed! Way to go, guys!

Some thoughts:
Loved Murray saying, "I'll wait in the car til you're finished nightclubbing"

Too Many Dicks On The Dance Floor - Hysterically funny lyrics. But aren't they overusing "dick" and "bro" just a bit?

Bret "Did you use protection?"
Jemaine "Yis, but only on my penis"

When Keitha offers Jemaine milk for his cuppa tea, and pours it from her cereal bowl, complete with cereal! Ewwwwww!

"Aberrations" - "pronounced Aborigines"

Bret's reaction to the fake phone message from Keitha - "Terrible"

I liked Ex Girlfriends better at Town Hall/Philly because Jemaine started it an octave lower and it had a nicer melody. What were those huge contraptions? Okay Bibli identified them. It was hard to watch anything else going on, with them fiddling with them. I also missed Bret singing the girls' parts. It was nice to hear the song again, though.

Dave had some really funny bits, especially "Interracial Hole-Stretchers 2" , and when Jemaine says he's going to New Jersey (SW!!! ) to elope, Dave says to go because there's "s*** going on in the states right now"

Bret on the door was priceless - "I am not participating in this hug"

Can't wait to see it again, and see all that I missed!

The Fruit-Loop tea...nasty.

This episode was hilarious! I loved it. I really loved the Carol Brown song and was excited to hear it in this episode. By the way I just checked Itunes and that is the single they released this week. I felt so bad for Jemaine in the end when she robbed them and he tried to get Bret to hug him while he was taped to the door.

AWESOME episode. I miss Bret in Ex girlfriends, though. I think I need to rewatch it to get the full effects of Too Many Dicks On The Dance Floor.
My favorite part, no question, was the hug at the end. Bret looks cute in hostage situations...
I love the Australian's apartment too. And Bret's book of the animals of New Zealand!

Fave ep so far this season. Can't comment on details now- it's all an awesome blur which requires many more viewings, suffice to say Jemaine sexy, Jemaine funny, Jemaine sad = As Nancy said Carol Brown/Ex GF's sounded better live (and IMHO it sounded best at Tower) but with so much going on during that video who cares, it was fantastic! Tee hee. I'm used to NJ being *ahem* immortilized in this way. I thought it was hilarious.

I think this is the best episode so far this season. It just felt like everything came together much better and flowed more easily. I really enjoyed it. I wonder if that makes me xenophobic.

Both of the songs were great, lots of witty lines that are classic FotC. The show had lots of the subtle visual gags, too, that just felt right. I suspect this my become my Drive-By equivalent for season two, as Drive-By remains my favorite season one episode.

Also, I liked it better when Jemaine put the "bruce you never told me you were a man" towards the end of the song. I had to listen to this one twice to figure out when he said it, and he just said "bruce turned out to be a man" really quickly. Still great though!
