How did they not have the Bus Drivers Song?!!!!! HOW!

Ugh.....what a tease..... to play the tune of Bus Driver Song, during the closing credits....to have a Paula character and a bus driver....and NO BUS DRIVER SONG.....we were definitely robbed of a great song!

Agreed. It was awesome, but the whole episode I was telling my less Conchords educated peers, "Hey it's gonna have Bus Driver's Song in it; there's Paula; there's a bus..." AND THEN THERE WASN'T.
Why do they torture me?!

Oh the whole way through that ep with the teasing: Paula, Paula's address, the bus!!! I thought for sure they were going to do Bus Driver's Song! Even up to when the music started playing over the credits I thought 'They're gonna do it!' And then --- they didn't do it...

But the rest of the show was good. When they ran out of hair gel... Jemaine was looking seriously scruffy there...

Still majorly crushing on Emo-Bret.

Is it my imagination, or are the episodes getting shorter? I looked on my cable box and noticed the show ended at 9:25, I know others have gone to :28 minutes or so, they must have edited something out. I think it could have been a minute or two longer, or at least have had a small picture box of some scene during the credits.

I didn't even recognize that that was Xena:Warrior Princess as Paula. Didn't dawn on me until the credits...........the credits that should have included a full blown song, a wonderful, beautiful song!

Yeah... They definately seem to be getting shorter... The 2nd song must have been cut out. That's the only logical explanation... I mean, why would the redo the song, just to run for 30 seconds over the credits? There's a full blown version of it out there somewhere, I'm sure of it... Hopefully it'll make the dvd. :crosses fingers:

It took me until the PM was driving the bus, and finally when he called out "Paula?" before the lightbulb when on, but it was cool that they just did a neat non-vocal riff on the tune. I knew the song was way too long to be included. I would have liked it to be included, but it didn't spoil the episode for me.

But what about the episode itself? Taika did a great job:

As always, lots more viewings needed for this one, but I really liked this one, and all the different hairstyles the guys came up with!

upon 2nd review... i'm totally taken aback by the very convincing "acting" of the guys
during their jonesin for more hair gel. i've been around addicts - they were definitely close to reality on this one. almost too close.

can i get a shout out for next week's episode?

I was so excited when I heard Paula and even more so when Murray said he hired a tour bus. All I kept thinking was "finally- they've managed to fit in one of my favorite songs." I just wanted to be able to thank Takia for writing it in....
Then.......NOTHING!!!!!
What a flipping tease. 30 minutes of tease then they just dropped us. TURKEYS!!!!
I'm feeling that feeling that makes you go "grrrrrrr".

I really liked the hair gel bit but I will go on the record as saying because of the tremendous letdown, this is, in the words of the comic book guy- The Worst Episode EVER!!!

I have been waiting all season for that song to come up. And the kilt!

I laughed like a total loon throughout this entire episode.

I was holding my stomach when they threw the jar at each other.

This episode was utterly fantastic. I've already rewatched it 3 times. "New Zealand...like Scotland but further"

I thought this was a great episode! Are you sure you guys aren't overlooking the hilarious-ness due to the fact that The Bus Driver Song wasn't in it? I mean, it would be sad if that completely ruined the episode for you.
Like someone said earlier, it's a long song and would be hard to fit in.. Much like Jenny. I'm just glad they gave the more hardcore fans something extra to laugh at. I have a friend who doesn't know The Bus Driver Song so the joke was missed on her.

I haven't heard anyone mention Fashion is Danger yet. I loved it! Maybe you have to be well-versed in 80's electro music to fully appreciate it, but the guys nailed it.

My rating for NewZealandTown: 9/10

P.S. I was happy to see Taika wrote and directed this one. I like that guy.

OK, I don't know what it is but I'm sooo not into the PM character. I think that the hair gel stuff was hilarious and different heair do's and hahahahaha "Whatever" hahahaha that was really funny. But the whole storyline with the PM and NewZealnd town, I just wasn't into it. I think that's what I didn't like about the last episode too.
