Thanks for posting the photo, Claire.

We all wrote about it on the NYC fan meetup thread, but I wanted to let all the Rhys lovers know that his stand-up act is truly delightful! Not only was his act well-written, but his sound effects are really funny. I have to admit that when he first started to talk about his childhood, I kinda felt sorry for him. :goodman: Through the laughter there were a lot of what could have been awwww moments, but he never milked anything for sympathy, he found the humor in the situations and made us roar. Thanks, Rhys, for a terrific show!

Hi guys! Here's a link to an article (running over 2 web pages) in today's New Zealand Herald: Roll Call: Rhys Darby – present where Rhys talks about his recent meteoric rise and what it was like to work with Jim Carrey, Philip Seymour Hoffman & Bill Nighy and of course Roger Federer! (Actually if you believe the date at the top of the article it's in tomorrow's Herald – clever!)

Oh and here's the Roger Federer ad with Rhys – on the off-chance you haven't spotted it yet (it's not been in aired down here in NZ as far as I know... :( )

Thanks for the article and a revisit to the commercial, Great H!
It's been a while since I've seen it.

I'd like to see Rhys go far in films. There's definitely a spot for such a talent. And it seems as though he's surrounding himself with good, talented actors. Way to go, Murray/Brian!!!!!

I'm very excited about seeing him next week. My Wednesday is this - My 18th Birthday, Last Day of Half Term, Rhys Darby, Pizza! I think it could possibly be one of those great days you remember forever.

Plus, on a little Off Topic note. I've been writing and drawing this graphic novel for a while now and it's looking pretty good. It's a comedy. Think the Office meets Star Trek - it's all about a Spaceship crew but mainly about a 'office romance'. Anyway, all I'm saying is that the main character is very much modeled on Rhys. Obviously - dream casting in my dream movie adaptation. :D But he has a few of his mannerisms and has that same useless but big-hearted feel Murray has in the TV series.

Have fun seeing him, Spune! If you meet him afterwards, tell him you're a member of the WTF forum - he's familiar with it. And if you get a photo, of course we'd love to see it!

I forgot to say how terrific your needlework was, chicken! He really looks "ginger-y". Rhys's going to love it!

Well, I (sadly) will not be giving this to him in person, but I didn't want to have to wait (possibly 6 months or more) for him to do a gig in LA just so I COULD give it to him in person.
A friend of mine is going to one of his shows in Philly and so I am going to send it to her and she will be delivering it to him for me ^3^.

I AM SOOO EXCITED. I hope he loves it as much as I do, because I have to say that I am going to miss it IMMENSELY T_T.
I am sooo attached to it, everytime I look at it I just want to give it hugs and kisses. I wasn't nearly this attached to the Bret and Jemaine sheeples I made. I think it has to do with my love for Rhys Darby. My love for "Ginger Balls"

I'M GOING TO MISS IT SOOOOOOO MUCH.
