What are you? A guy or something?

New to Flight of The Conchords? Or just new to the site and forums? Either way, please take a minute to stop by and say hello. Cheers!

What do you do with the used up wax, if you don't mind me asking? And I would say "Ewwww" to the eating of ketchup packets, but I've been known to eat those little packets of butter that you get at restaurants. Not all the time, mind you, but sometimes.

I use the wax to make fire starters for the fireplace, melt the wax in a double boiler type situation and dip dry pine cones in the wax. I'm very cheap and I guess that we can call it "green" these days to find another purpose for something that seems to have none anymore. My grandmother (in her un-PC way) used to call this "being Scotch"--hope not to offend because I always thought it was a compliment! Reduce landfill input, save money, be creative--sounded good to me!

And yes "eww" on the ketchup packets is the natural response--one I get from my husband, but we all have a our little quirks, eh? That's why its a "random thing about me" :D

Real name: Michelle (Ruby was my grandmother's name so I stole it for forums)
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Age: 33
Status: Single, no kids
Occupation: Freelance animator/motion graphics artist.
Interests: Movies, books, comic books, drawing, writing, sculpting, animating, cooking
Random Fact: I earned my imdb page working on a webseries with James Gunn called PGPorn (can be seen at Spike.com)...unfortunately, most mainstream employers find the title a bit off-putting so I may need to rework my resume...which is annoying.
Bret or Jemaine?: Umm...both, please. :D

 whot!? what's your secret WTFers?! everyone around here seems to look MUCH younger than they actually are! ..xcept for me :worry: but it doesn't keep me awake at night..some people say I sound too mature for my age..I usually answer: "woman please!"
But if you did I'd hold you tight / Into every single night
And we'd fall asleep together / And we'd wake up in the sunlight
Well, maybe I'm a dreamer / But maybe one day you'll see / That dreams are...

My secret? Number one, I stay the heck out of the sun. In Vegas, that's the fastest way to age. I'd rather look like Snow White than a saddle bag with eyes. And number two, I dunno...I guess I just have good aging genes. I've never looked my age. Maybe that's why I'm always being hit on by teenage boys and men think I'm a "kid." *grumble grumble*

Wow, I really have never been to this part of the forum before! Better late than never, yes?

Real name: Raven
Location: Manchester, NH
Age: 18
Status: Single, no kids
Occupation: Grocery store cashier. Sigh.
Interests: Movies, music, computer stuff... I'm a bit of a nerd. Marching band, represent.
Random Fact: A fanvideo I made for another franchise opened the 2008 New York Comic Con. (Hooray for worthless accomplishments!). Comic Con is where geeks with motivation assemble.
Bret or Jemaine?: Jemaine. Wait, no... yeah, definitely Jemaine.

That's not a worthless accomplishment. I'm always jealous of the people who can make these videos since I am just not that creative. I'm a lazy fangirl who likes to admire other people's work. I was in marching band too back in the day.

Ok, if you all played the clarinet like I did, we can truly be the geek-squad.

Nope, I'm a trumpeteer. :supz: We could get a little musical trio going, though!

Hey Raven, I used to play the mellophone in marching band. (Way back in the day...) Geeks can feel at home here. :D

I am impressed with your videos! I wish I knew how to do that!

I used to play the trombone. Lord, I was such a big band geek in high school. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

As you shouldn't be! The band geeks are the coolest kids! 8) I never was one but always hung out with the band geeks.. Now my son is ( plays trombone too! ) and I am at every game or event I can be because they are so talented and such hard workers!

What football game?! I came for the marching band! :P

Your son picked the right instrument. ;) I loved playing and it was fun being the only girl hanging out with all the boys.

:partyman:
Ahhhh my people; Euphonium/Baritone for 7yrs back in the day and I even lettered. I was one of the few chicks to pull that one off. The nice part is that I am still friends with all my fellow band geeks even though we are scattered across the U.S. . Nothing can break that bond formed being stuck on a crappy school bus for hours on end.
...if anyone needs me I will be in my office doing madlibs...
