Oh man. Thank you LauraK! I love having the lyrics right under the video! 8) I got your email, Cheri. Thank you.

Oh yeah. This is fun. The end of the bridge sounds weird to me though. Isn't he switching to a different chord at the final eeeeeee of the bridge?

F
The look in your eyes would say you'd always love

Gm
me

(then he goes on) eee eee eeeee. <---that bit.

Oooo I feel a bit like Gabriela when I strum this song. I love love love Bret's playing in this song. I hadn't ever really focused on Jemaine's guitar solo either!  Well done, Big J!!! Nigel too! I was far too distracted to give the music my proper attention. I blame Bret for shouting, "Do it to 'em, Jemaine!" That's very distracting. very.

And while I'm gushing....once again....brilliant lyrics, gentlemen. :adoration: And the last line. Ow. my heart.

I haven't seen Blue Valentine yet, but I love Ryan Gosling, he's playing the uke, and this scene is adorable:

I think "Perfect Fit" by Gwyneth Herbert is a cute spring/summer song. Makes me want to also skip through the streets of London. ;)

Here's the original version:

The official video:

You can also watch Gwyneth performing the song with her uke at home:

Ack! I think she has my denim flea! :o That was fun, and I love the loop machine. So cool. Are there chords for the tune, Venus?

I haven't come across the chords yet. She mentioned in an interview that there are only 4 chords. Need to figure out what they are if I can't find any chords.

In watching her living room video, I think I see Am, Gm, Em, and F.....but I also seem to be seeing her lift her ring finger on the Em when she says 'you' on the 'yeahhh, it's You....' and then she removes her middle finger as well, leaving her with Cmaj7.

I suck at trying to figure out chords since they're upside-down.....and her uke has a much brighter sound than mine.

I LOVE that song, Venus. Thanks for putting it here. :)

A fellow uker sent me the link for this short film:

Joe is a guitar addict. His problem has affected his family and relationships for many years. Now, with the support of his brothers, Joe finally seeks help.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH2YITVo ... re=related

It's not brilliant, but I got a few laughs. It was made in my home city so I was probably distracted trying to see if I recognised anyone in the background.
Useless trivia; from about 7.25 you can see the shop I bought my ukulele from on the left of the screen.

And he's playing 5 Foot 2, Eyes Of Blue, the song made famous by Bret and Nigel with Rachel's uke! Wow, I'm impressed at his ability to play such a munchkin uke!

You guys have probably already heard of this person, but a friend just sent me a link to this song played by Sungha Jung.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2OEuyF_ ... ure=relmfu

Isn't he amazing and adorable?? I listened to his version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and it was also amazing.

In the comments section someone wrote, "I just apologized to my ukulele."
