What the Folk!

WTFIUO is, even though every member owns and plays the uke, sort of imaginary, in that we never play together. This collab sets out to bring us together for real! Or at least as real as we can be on a Youtube video

I've finally cracked the picture-in-picture-with-multiple-audio-tracks-video-thingy that was holding us back!

Since this is the first time I think we should start pretty easy, with the song 'Friends' . Very fitting it is too, us being FOTC fan-girls, after all The song ideally calls for 4 voices, although more than 4 is not a problem. Less is trickier, but doable:)

So the first Q is: How many of you are interested in joining?

I call dibs on Bret's part Now we only need a Jem, a Jim and a Murray and we're good to go

Calling dibs on his part is A OK, as for the man himself, I guess he'll have to answer that one

Also, biscuit - are we doing any particular strumming pattern? I just worked on it for awhile and thought dduud sounded good

Another question - How are we going to do the background voices during the whole thing? Or are we going to drop them? I just know that like Bret's main "bum bum bum" goes through the whole song - even when he's singing. Should we have someone that JUST sings the words and someone that JUST sings the background? Like having a Bret Background person and a Bret Lyrics person? Or should I just record one track with just Jemaine's background singing ("aaahs" and "bum bum bums") and one with just Jemaine singing the lyrics and then you could overdub them somehow? With Murray it's not a big deal because he's just 'ping'ing for the most part - but for Bret and Jemaine they are singing lyrics AND background stuff...

I'm up for either But if we do decide to split them, I would like dibs on Jemaine Lyrics
