Guild staff hang out with Conchords

Guild staff enjoyed entertaining Bret and Jemaine, plus helping Comic Relief
A buzz of excitement ran through the Pharmacy Guild last Friday (1 June) as the cast of Flight of the Conchords used the premises for filming.
Anyone who has seen the TV series Flight of the Conchords will have an idea of what Murray's office looks like. It's not the most modern space; some might say it's a little dated. So, when the Conchords crew needed a Wellington-based stand-in office for Murray, a real estate scout contacted the occupants of Pharmacy House.
Anyone who has visited Pharmacy House on Dixon Street in Wellington knows the building is a little tired.
The Pharmacy Guild occupies the premises, which is currently undergoing a revamp.
However, an office which has not yet been updated was available and the guild kindly offered the space for filming.
The filming was for a television show which will be screened on Red Nose Day, 24 August, in aid of the charity Cure Kids.
"The guild was so pleased we were able to do something for Comic Relief," executive assistant and office manager at the guild, Sally Walker-Simmons, who also helped organise the filming, says.
"Flight of the Conchords is world famous, so it was really exciting having them in the office," she adds.
While Murray (played by Rhys Darby) had to dash off soon after filming, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement hung around and took a photo with guild staff.
"They're really shy, humble guys," Ms Walker-Simmons says.
"Bret says he loves the guild!" she adds.
