There's this festival our local college radio station puts on every year, called Boomslang, and they have music and show films and have random performances and stuff. So, they're showing a film called Rock That Uke http://rockthatuke.com/ and afterward the director is going to have a Q&A, and then we come on. So I'm thinking there might be a few of the homeless guys who hang around in front of the library still there by then, and that will be about it. ;) But if anyone gets video of the event, I will post it for you guys.

3:30 today, eh? Youk and I will be tuned and ready to rock!

Have fun at the gig, mock.
It'd be really nice to get a video of you.

Here we are at the library - sorry, no video.

Here is a demographic breakdown of the audience:

 :supz: It was quite fun. Public humiliation not withstanding. ;) Nancy - what songs did you play, at the appointed time?

Looking good. :)

That person was probably texting his friends to get them over to the library and the person you think was asleep was probably just transported to her happy place by the awesomeness of your ukulele group's music. :supz:

You're #5, right? I love #8's blurry uke.

Yup, I'm #5. #8 was shaking his uke over his head, rock-n-roll style. I'm also fond of #2's rock goddess pose. ;)

Blister in the Sun, Tide is High, YMCA, Brand New Key, and King of the Road. We have a guy who introduces each song as though it is a traditional Hawaiian folk song and the "history" behind each one. Well, *I* think it's funny at least. ;)

:roll2: :bounce: :rolls: Aha, mock, well done.
I played Baby Mine from Dumbo and Turn Around, from a Kodak commercial when I was a kid. I'm trying to put together a dvd for Amy, so with that in mind, I get weepy singing it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBqSzLezdDI
I also changed the last lyrics to "Turn around and you're a young bride
With a love of your own", since she hasn't got a kid.
I don't strum or pick well, but I can fake pick these and it sounds like I can strum. :?

Good for you, getting together and doing this. Any more gigs lined up? Maybe the local aquarium?

Nice! The introductions sound pretty funny to me. Sounds like fun, the WIUO better watch their backs!

Hehe, the local aquarium would be a brilliant venue for the next gig. ;)

Hee hee! If we had a local aquarium, I'd suggest it. ;) I do think we have another gig coming up soon, I'll keep you guys posted. :) Nancy - I'm so glad you really played. I love your song choices and that's so cool you're making a CD for Amy.

OK now back to talking about FOTC. ;)

Ah, let's see...F of the C in my life. Ah yes - I can't tell you how many times I get FOTC reminders as words in the crossword puzzles I do. Their favorite? Maori. :D
