There was a download of it so I grabbed it rather than watch it via Google Vid. Now the vid has been pulled the download has gone also.

Its only the same size as the one on Google vid so its not full screen size or anything, but still good quality.

I've watched it a few times now and really think it should have been the bonus feature for the season one dvd. It may not have been done in time. The couch interview stuff with the guys and the Bobin segments are really insightful. I just love the clip at the end when Jemaine puts on the prima donna act. Priceless.

Ah but was it an act? He is the bossy one after all. :D
I liked the couch interview too - or maybe it was just the beard.

A documentary Flight of the Conchords: On Air, by Wellington film-maker Hannah Clarke, who is McKenzie's partner, will screen before the first episode.

When this airs in NZ tomorrow, anyone have an idea of where to see it?

A whole extra 20 MINUTES of footage! Amazing....

You'll probably/possibly have to wait a day or two to see if it shows up on torrent sites etc.

Also I am told its being included on the DVD but I've yet to confirm that.

Thank you Sherry! Hope that it indeed shows up somewhere...

The DVD for S2? Oh crikey that reminds me of a question I had for JB - any bloopers/behind the scenes stuff in the S2 DVD?? I hope someone asked that question.

You can watch the extended version here:

There's a few extra bits of behind the scenes and read through/sing through of the scripts... more sleeping Jemaine (lol!) And I love that Hannah calls Demetri "D-Dawg"! ;)

:prayer:
But if you did I'd hold you tight / Into every single night
And we'd fall asleep together / And we'd wake up in the sunlight
Well, maybe I'm a dreamer / But maybe one day you'll see / That dreams are...

Yeah, I paused it every once in a while, then it would sync up again. :dunno:

Oh sweet Ganesha, I loved this. LOVED IT!

I nearly wet myself when Bret did his "Zoom! Zoom! Coupla cars for ya." impression of Rhys' stand-up act. It was just PERFECT! I actually had to pause it and go brush my teeth at that point because I was laughing so hard, I couldn't even breathe. Even writing about it now is sending me into hysterical giggles. Oh god. My face hurts from smiling so much. **Gently massages cheeks.**

And it always makes me feel better when I hear Jemaine talk about how fundamentally lazy he is. As an deeply lazy person myself, it's nice to know that I'm not alone. I loved hearing James talk about trying to convince his musicians to start earlier than ten o'clock in the morning - NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, MATE. The boys chuckling about how he made them stay until exactly six o'clock cracked me up, too. It reminds me of being a kid in school again, trying so hard to sit still in my seat and get through those last few minutes, but just dying to get out of there. I can still feel that bored, anxious, brain-itching sensation when I think about it. It's so awful. You can absolutely imagine James being Very Strict with his boys, can't you? No skiving off allowed. And they totally get detentions if they're late.

As Prettyrobyngirl mentioned upthread, although we've all read extensively about how relentless the pace of production was, seeing the behind-the-scenes footage really brought home, in a visceral way, just how exhausting it really was. As viewers, even very interested and well-informed viewers, it's hard to grasp just how much work goes into making a show like this. And the pressure! My god! It's no bloody wonder Bret started having panic attacks. I absolutely loved seeing them put together the music for Mermaids ("We're trying to make it sound [YAWN] awesome. [YAWN] At the moment it sounds [YAWN] mediocre."), but it really brought home how much careful, painstaking work goes into making every last stitch of the show the best it can be.

I'm just so damn grateful. I know how flipping cheesy this sounds, and I wish I could think of a cooler way to put this, but the Conchords have brought such a lovely light into my life. I can say (with blushing embarrassment) that I'm a happier person just knowing that they exist.

God, I sound like such a dribbly drunk, don't I? "I jush love you guysh sho mush, I really do. It's sho real, man, and you guysh are totally like my besht friendsh. Yeah. Love you."

**Falls face first into the peanuts.**
