Woo! I'm the not only one! Although his codpiece was quite disturbing...

Argh!

Well I'll throw it back on topic...It's more of an irritation, but in Weapon of Choice, Brahbrah clearly says her name is Barbara when they first meet her....then she goes and changes it to Brahbrah!

You don't say? So Jemaine was right in thinking it was Barbara.

This may sound weird but ya know that scene somewhere in S2 where they are in the bathroom and B asks J to do something and then J whines about having to be his wingman and I think Eugene may have been there too? - wellllll, that small scene made my heart hurt because it was a tiny glimpse of just the sort of unfunny and uninspired self parody that I could forsee becoming a full time thing if FOTC prolonged the series beyond it's prime.

Ya, I know what scene you're talking about, it's in the Wingmen episode. I never really understood why Eugene suddenly appeared and was fixing the shower...his random appearance kind of threw the scene off a little bit. I would be completely and utterly crushed if they ever continued and it became like that all the time...I'd probably try to laugh on the outside, but on the inside I'd know that I didn't actually think it was funny and it would destroy me.

I liked Eugene's random appearance :) And I like how rude Jemaine is to him all the time. While that scene is not my favorite, I chuckled a bit.

Oh don't get me wrong, I adore that scene, up until the part where Eugene appears in the shower. I always die when Bret says, "You do it," and Jem responds with, "I do NOT do it!" sounding like a big 4 year old :roll2:

I loved that scene even more when Eugene appeared in the shower, haha.

Me too, Stray! I loved Eugene popping out from behind that curtain. He's so in love with Jemaine that he sneaks into their apartment and breaks stuff just so he can fix it. I thought it was very funny, but all of Eugene's man-crush scenes crack me up.

Okay Wingmen. I think I've only watched that ep once so it's not entirely clear in my mind. I knew why Eugene was there I just thought that joke was old by then. Other stuff that I enjoyed in S1, like Mel's stalkerishness & Murray's lists, I found more irritating than funny in S2.

These opinions are going to be VERY unpopular, but they're not mine!

I tried to get my friends into FOTC and they said it was "weird" (don't know why), that the guys were "creepy" when they try to approach women (most of my friends are feminists AND don't understand comedy at all...) and complained that it was too quiet and there was "barely any dialogue". That's what makes it so funny...the awkwardness... :bang:

Well, it wouldn't be the same now. We know too much!

But back then (especially during Season 1), most of us only knew of them from the series and not much else.
