I've got three places that I'm going to hit tomorrow and snatch as many up as I can. I'm wondering how much they'll cost too. If I can get some extras I'll check on here to see if anyone wants one. Then I'll take the rest to the concert and try to do some business as we're waiting for the meet and greet (if they have one).

And don't forget--the little impromptu show on the 4th, was it?
The one I missed because I was sitting home watching the NCAA?
Nah, even if I wasn't watching tv, I wouldn't have been at Zanies!

No harm, no foul, hurm! :yawinkle:

Just saw this on BrooklynVegan. Note Conchords in there.

If this is a big deal (people actually still buy records? lol), and someone REALLY wants one and you have no other option, I could try to get one for you.

I don't know what the price is but I imagine it won't be that much. I tried calling my store and asking them how much it would be but they haven't even put price stickers on them yet. Typical. I used to work there so I should know. He said they're going to limit them to one per customer but I'm probably just going to try to scout someone I used to work with and see if they don't mind selling me a few more.

You have no idea how many people still buy records. In fact, that media has exploded, even though it's still a small portion of the market. MP3s and vinyl! Some labels will give you a coupon for a free download if you buy an album. You have the album for your house parties or DJing or just better sound and MP3s for your iPod. Sounds good to me.

Also, Sub Pop + singles = BIG WIN.

thanks again, vmh - you do what you can. I'm definitely getting to the store today.

I'm back from my excursion. I went to two places and got 5 of them. They were only $6 apiece and both of the places I went to had at least 10 copies (on display - they might have had more somewhere else). While I was at one of the places I went ahead and got the 12" vinyl of their other album. Just for a collector's item.

Here's the 7". It just had generic packaging.

Sorry! You know, when you mentioned reading Brooklyn Vegan, I should have put 2+2 together!
But you probably know how many people say that seriously...

Anyway, I just got one. The store was a zoo. But, boy did they have some good stuff. I got 45 by Booker T, Slayer, FoTC, Flaming Lips, all kind of things. Nice! They had a Leonard Cohen 45, but that flew out of there.

It's just a regular black record. But there's a sleeve within the brown sleeve. It's just a generic sleeve with various albums on it.
