Brown paper, White paper
stick it together with tape
the tape of love...the sticky stuff...

---it was the last song playing in my car :folkon:
Oh, it was always "Bowie's bumped into a door..."

Mine was "Bowie". There was a fireworks show at a park a short distance from my house, and we were watching from the windows. Someone said that some smaller fireworks looked like spaceships lined up in a row...

Hotties right now:)

I listen to FOTC in the car all the time, but my hubby got sick of it and said that next time he comes home (he works at sea) he didn't want to have to listen to my music all the time. And he's coming home this afternoon :( (really I'm :D about him coming back, I just don't want to stop listening to them in my car...)

Maybe he wouldn't mind the EvS soundtrack or some Black Seeds?

I like your thinking, Nonch..'cause you think like me

My new interest for all things Kiwi has also lead me to discover the band Goldenhorse, which are great! :supz: I downloaded one of their albums last night and made a CD only to find out that my car stereo doesn't play mp3s :P I'll have to see if I can convert the files and try again:)

Goldenhorse, huh? I might have to check them out.

My man bought me a thingy to play my iPod in my car and it has changed my (musical) life! No more CD's!! :woohoo:
He gives me the eyebrow if I listen to too much folk comedy as well.

Btw. Love your new avatar! The way he looks at me makes me feel funny inside. heehee.

 (I concur)

this morning coming in to work I had

I'm the Hiphopopotamus
Flows that glow like phosphorus
Poppin off the top of this oesophagus
I'm not a large water-dwelling from Africa who's moved to the metropolis
Where'd you get that preposterous hypothesis?
Did Steve tell you that?
Steve...

Which is a first for me. And also made me realise "flows that glow like phosphorus" actually is really hard to say, especially fast
It really is a great verse though. Kudos to Jemaine for rising to the challenge of rhyming with Hiphopopotamus
It's all about the music.

All night I've been singing:

There are angels
In the clouds
Doing it...

And other snippets from Angels. I just LOVE the version from Folk the World, so pretty sounding :D

I was rewatching Bowie last night and now 'Bret, you've got it going on' has been in my head since...

Particularly this bit;

If one of us was a lady, and I was your man, if I was your man.
Well, sometimes it gets lonely, and I need a woman.
And then I imagine you with some bosoms.
In fact, one time when we were touring and I was really lonely.
And we were sharing that twin room in the hotel.
I put a wig on you, when you were sleeping, I put a wig on you.
Oh, ohhh, oooooh, oh, and I just laid there and spooned you.

:D
"Item 4 on the agenda: Stuff you!"

"Who else? Mur.. Ray... Oh. Greg's written this, he's put the R's too far apart. It's Murray.. Murray present"

My apologies, but each to their own, I guess.
I've had bits of "Carol Brown" floating about in my head.

I always get Song For Sally stuck in my head, at any random time of the day. It's odd.

Maybe I'm a dreamer, but maybe one day you'll see-
Yeah, she gets it, stop cockblocking me.

it's pretty funky :D

Resistance is futile
Resistance is futile
Guns, fashion
Bombs, passion
Missiles, grace
Blood, lace

Oh, we look so good in laaaaaace...
It's all about the music.
