Since I want to contribute but I'm insanely lazy I figure it's okay to resurrect the lament I wrote when Jemaine got married - to be sung to the tune of Bret You've Got It Going On. I could never top it as I currently have no emotional inspiration to motivate me.

THAT would be hard to top! Omg that was funny. (wiping tears from eyes) Please copy and post it here. Everyone must see it. It fits the music perfectly too! I give it 5 stars (out of 5). :nana: :nana: :nana:

I could keep going all night (it's 1.42 a.m. here) but probably need to have a kip before my final exam tomorrow. I'll be back in the morning though:)

Oh SheWolf, I LOVE your song. Absolutely love it. "Off to get a pie or whatever..." :rolls: :roll2:

I only managed to come up with two very silly haikus before I discovered I was supposed to be taking the notes at that ghastly four-hour meeting this afternoon. So here they are. I'll try to do better next time.

Snaking through the crowd
All fans eager to meet you
I await my turn

Jem turns, walks off stage
What’s that? Sparkling blue sequins!
Thong or belt? Who knows…

(Well , of course we all know NOW.)

Oh my god, I just laughed SO HARD.
All of these poems are amazing!!!

And SheWolf...oh dear lord, that song is BRILLIANT. Loved the part about "spread your love around" being a euphamism for "we want to bum you" :roll2:

Yupp, this may well be my new favourite thread. :D

Omg, eorious, that was INCREDIBLE. I just rofl'd like you wouldn't believe. Hmm... *goes to find those pictures on the Jem photo thread...*

And SheWolf, I read that poem ages ago, but it still makes me laugh like crazy. As we young folks would say, it was "lolarious." VIRY lolarious.

Oh my gosh SW! :rolls: :roll2: That song was HILARIOUS!
Love this part: "No doubt about it you made the girlies drool when you mimed sexual congress with that stool"

And guys, I'm loving the poems! This thread is just brilliant! :D

Ooh, just thought up a limerick!!

There once was a man named Bret
That many fans actually met!
His last name is McKenzie,
Sets our hearts in a frenzy,
Has more talent than I'll ever get.

Nice, songbird. I've never been good at limericks because I have to think of words that rhyme and I'm too lazy for that.

Three things women love:
Men in kilts, Southern Comfort,
the song Wicked Game

Bret trusts what Dave says
Jemaine does not believe it
We're not that simple

I don't have a problem rhyming, but I can't ever seem to come up with limericks that aren't dirty. My mind just instantly wants to go there, so I have to stay away from those.

Yours was excellent though, songbird. Kudos on finding a word to rhyme with McKenzie!

I've always enjoyed writing haiku--so simple.

Keep them in the front
Not just because they look good:
Sweet sugalumps, yeah.

And on the dirty limericks...the only one I can remember is the one about the man from Nantucket.
If you don't know the answer, change the question.
