Going into Amoeba, when they drove up in that old car.

Tell me the story again, please? If I've heard it...I've forgotten.

I don't know the story but while we're waiting for SW here's a few more pics of the event in question.

No story really I just remember the girl saying that they drove up in that cool old car and she got photos with them. & I was jealous.

I love the way they just drove it right up onto the sidewalk, lol. Do they not have proper parking spaces in New Zealand?

I need more information on this. Where did they get the car? Is it one of theirs? For some reason I really like that they drove themselves to Amoeba, I always think of them as having people to drive them everywhere. And what is the guy in the brown pants in the top pic doing? He looks like he's showing off his dance moves to Jemaine, lol.

He's telling them they can't park on the sidewalk.

They drove themselves to Largo too. Must be an LA thing.

IIRC Bret was driving. And he's into old cars so maybe that's his car?

Bret: "I park where I want!"

Bret chauffeured The Black Seeds around too. I wonder if Jemaine ever drives in Ameerica? Surely not in New York City. Though LA was certainly challenging. I drove a bit in Australia. It was terrifying. It is not easy to adjust to the wrong side of the road nor to drive while riding shotgun. That car is sweet as.

That's from their appearance at the Comcast Convention back in January of 2008.

Perhaps not one of their best performances, but it had a few shining moments. It's funny how many times Bret wears black and Jemaine wears white. I wonder if they made that decision at some point to avoid inadvertently showing up matching.

Yeah, I remember negative comments about that performance, caused mostly by the dufus who booked a parody act for a bunch of folks who just wanted to chat and didn't want to sit and listen to a show. They did what they could, got through it, and moved on.
