In a statement they also revealed that they would play UK live dates in early 2010 – but have not revealed details of specific shows yet.

That's sooner than I expected! Are any N. Americans still thinking about making a trip there?

Oh trust me, I'm thinking about it! I am doubtful that I will be able to go, but I sure am thinking about it. A lot... *sigh*

OH FRICK...

Early 2010 sounds good to me just hope it's not around the 20's in February because then I can't swing it - I've got mock exams...

And hopefully they'll come here too ;) Else I'll be hitch-hiking to Belfast

I wonder if there was any truth in the comments about playing non-English speaking countries... :hrm: England isn't far off for me, but it would be very cool if they came even closer to home, though I doubt they would bother with poor little Norway.

Venues in non-English speaking countries would presumably be smaller and more intimate as I reckon there are fewer fans. I wouldn't mind that at all! :D

Those tour stories sure were riveting. I'm hope I could make this work and meet up with some of you there. But even if I don't, reading about it is almost as good. Almost.

Yep I'll try going to as many gigs as I can afford. If it really is early 2010, then tickets to their gigs could be given to me as a birthday present :eyelashes: ;)

Oh and I'm willing to help out any people overseas when it comes to looking for a place to stay. Well I don't know much about hotels/apartments but I help you guys look for places and give you the low-down on good areas to stay in London with good transport links, attractions etc. And advice on ways to save your money whilst in the UK cos visitors can be seriously ripped off sometimes.

I can't wait until more details are given :boogie:

It would be very cool if they play in non-English speaking countries. I think it was Bret who said they will and they have talked about touring 'Europe' in the past so I'm sure they will. If there are cheap Eurostar tickets going and they play an intimate gig in Paris then I may consider going travelling a little further afield too.

How is the public transportation there?

Karen (4everconchordsfan) has a really good idea to maybe rent a big enough place during our stay for all the traveling WTFers and we could just split the cost. We could pick a central location in the UK and just travel to different gigs.

that could be quite good! dunno where we could all stay though..
transportations ok, londons easy to get around, & so are all the other big cities..dont really know where they'd play really, i think they might just do london for a week or something.

(i hope they do brixton academy, cos i have good luck of meeting people there & i like it xD)
