I e-mailed, but a lot. Nice e-mails, but if I didn't hear back in a day or two I'd e-mail again. That paid off for me.

I used the 'contact us' option at the bottom of iTunes cos they guarantee a response within 24 hours. I got one but it was clearly a "I haven't bothered to really read your email so heres an answer I 'cut and paste' from the help manual without checking it's actually relevant", type response. I then replied to that email with something like "No, none of that applies. If you care to pay address to the question I ACTUALLY asked..." (!) which got an immediate reply asking me to give the purchase codes of the songs I had already purchased from the album (the codes can be found in your the purchase history section of your account), which were then credited back. :D

It was album of the week in mX* yesterday!

I might scan the review tomorrow...too tired now. :( There was also mention of Bret, the WIUO and the world record attempt the other day. :yay:

*crappy (except when they have ITYIWF as album of the week  ) free newspaper that gets handed out on public transport here in Melbourne.

Oh please do, Sarah!

Would that be one of the bits that's the same in Brisbane mX? I didn't pick up mX at the train station on Thursday. :bang:

And incidently, a really big hideous photo of Robbie Williams on the front of Wednesday's mX is beside my laptop laughing at me.

I used the "Contact Us" feature of iTunes yesterday to request my song credits, and I got a straight forward reply and the credits right away without one of the blasé general replies first :) Time to download the album now :)

If you have a minute, tell us a bit about yourselves on the Intro thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4

So what's the general consensus on the cd? Favorite songs? Least favorite?

Well, I must say I always enjoy hearing Bret sing "nonchalant" in Rambling. :D It reminds me of the live performance of the song at our concert and
my chat with Bret in Chicago. :whitey: The song is my favorite.

Also Dangermouse, I got my Bret button in the mail today! :boogie:  He arrived safe and sound. Thank you so much! 8)

I finally got the CD from Sub Pop! :yay: Hey, Kelly-Did you get yours yet?

Goody check list:
1 FOTC sticker (album cover)
1 FOTC button (album cover)
1 Eugene Mirman sticker
1 Sub Pop sticker

Maybe all the Bret and Jemaine buttons went to those who preordered early. :dunno: I'm going to place an order for the vinyl later today and request one if they still have any more. Though I'm still trying to figure out why I'm so obsessed over a button. I feel like I'm in 5th grade again.

I ordered my LP on Tuesday, and it hasn't even shipped yet. Once the word got out about the purple vinyl, Sub Pop must have been flooded with orders!

It's so hard to pick just one favorite. Although I think the 1st song I would play every time is 'We're Both In Love With a Sexy Lady'.

I love it for so many reasons but my favorite reason is that every time I hear it I think of the actual scene when they performed it in the park & at the end they were spinning around in circles with their arms out in the air. That cracks me up every single time. Not to mention their outfits. Remember the simple pleasures of being a kid & spinning like that until you were dizzy as all get out.

The lyrics, wait a minute are you talking about the girl with the lazy eye, I think she might have had a slighty lazy eye.....Get that lazy eye on me girl....great lyrics. Also because when they performed it for us live it usually went into Sugalumps. That's a 'good thing'.

Cant say that I have a least favorite, the cd is great. I love every cut.

Betcha didnt think you'd get such an answer, is this all TMI? Sorry if it is.

My least fave is Petrov, no doubt. Yuk. I much prefer the FtW version, in fact I pit it in today so I could hear that and Bus Driver's Song...and then Angels. :halo:

Favorite? Ohhh, don't have just one! Too Many Dicks, Sugalumps, Carol Brown, Friends, Hurt Feelings, I Told You I Was Freaky.......I just smile and am so happy when they all come on! :D

Today, I asked Jacob to listen to a particular part of Sugalumps and asked him what Bret just said. He looked at me like I was nutty and answered: "My candy-balls cause a kerfuffle..."

I started laughing while giving him the :thumb: and then I told him of the mis-heard lyric of "cannon-balls."

He cracked up!! "Cannon-balls!?!? Those are too big to fit in his pants!" :D

I love my son.
