Collection only right now because I don't own a working record player. Although I would love to get one to hear it. Maybe someday when I have more money...
As for me, its been rough. I'm having a hard time with my treatments and on top of that I've been pretty sick. Thanks for asking though.
Do you want to borrow my jumper Bowie?

I've been thinking of you and hoping you were feeling better. Vibing for the treatments to get easier to take.....wish I had some magic advice or better yet, a magic pill.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention my story in this thread as the forum was down. I got my package from Sub Pop on Monday so I was very excited to see the package for the album laying in my letterbox. I got a badge, stickers, poster, booklet with lyrics and chords...so far so good! And then, to my surprise I noticed that there was NO CD inside! Can you believe it?! I checked many times and got members of my family to check as well in case I was just being blind but the CD is nowhere to be found. The envelope and CD case itself was sealed so it's not as if it could have been stolen. It's just so weird! I have sent Sub Pop an email but I haven't got a reply. I'm tempted to download the tracks or something but this isn't my fault so I'm hoping it will be sorted out somehow. :dunno:

Oh Venus, that is simply awful!

And to have the buildup of all that stuff, and then no cd to listen to!

Spumony, my thoughts are with you. :goodman:

How odd! I hope someone gets back to you soon so they could send you a replacement CD.

Oh Man!! Packaging-FAIL. :(

I'm sure they'll send you out a CD. I'd find a phone number, though, and speak to a person about it. Good luck!

Yeah I'm probably gonna give them a call some time during the week. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes...

Hmmm, very sorry to hear about this no-CD situation, Venus...that's really weird but it's nothing that can't be fixed, I would think. :hrm: But the non-response thing just adds to the frustration because you can't have resolution. I too emailed them first thing last week because on the record I received, the label on one side is so far off-center that it goes over the last song on that side, affecting the ability to play it all the way through. Plus, athestically, it's a dud. Plus-plus, when you spend your hard-earned dollars on something, you want it to be right, right? So, I emailed them explaining the issue at hand and did they have any more purple pressings and what did I need to do next. And, nothing. So, I emailed them again today at the general info address.

We'll both just have to wait and see, I guess... :dunno: Could/should call too, though, maybe.
"Where does the instrument begin and the man start?"
"Funny you should say that. That's how I feel when I play it."

If there's a order line, call it. They'll respond to it.

Ugh! I had that happen once with a Cd too. Opened it up... no Cd. If there's one thing you'd think they'd make sure to include... that would be it! I agree if they aren't responding to e-mail maybe call. I hate resorting to the phone. In this modern age if things can't be solved with e-mail and automated robots then what is the world coming to! hehe Having to talk to a person... that's so flintstones! Ack! Okay...that's probably just me. But, still they need to make it right. Hopefully you and Hot Jam will have things fixed soon!

I rang Sub Pop a few hours ago and the person I needed to talk to wasn't at their desk so I was given that person's Sub Pop email address by a woman who picked up the phone. I sent them an email and an hour later they responded, apologizing and letting me know that they'll send out another one. Hot Jam, Sub Pop's phone number can be found on their website (Under 'Info'->'About Us') so I'd recommend calling them up but if not, I can give you the email address of the person who dealt with my issue since you are more likely to get a response from them than the general email address. I hope your issue gets sorted out soon. :)

YAY! i'm glad you got it sorted out, V. Now let's hope it doesn't take an eternity for it to make it accross the pond.
Good luck, HJ!

Yeah I hope it doesn't take ages like before . But to be fair, there were 4 days worth of postal strikes going on in the UK around the time my package was dispatched.

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies :)
