Hi Deirdre. That video was what led me to WTF! :D Because THEY knew about it and obviously wanted to give it some screen time by asking you about it. A forum endorsed by the guys themselves! What more can you ask for?! I love that video....it is hands down my favorite of the guys...so thanks!!! :D

You know, I need to go back and watch that whole Texas Odyssey again. I usually just see the little clip on Youtube when you search "lips Jemaine." My younger (second, haha) daughter get's a kick out of watching it. I bet she'd like to see the part with her dad in it too. And, I am glad you found your way here. Maybe others saw WTF mentioned on the video and came here as well. :thumb: I never thought of that. :puzzled:

Hi SW! :yawinkle:
Would you be able to post a link for the full Texan Odyssey if you know of one?
Can only find small clips of it here and there. I'd gladly pay to see it!
Also I too love that moment in the clip when Bret moves Jemaine closer to you after you show him the picture, so deliciously bashfull!

I am not as excited/crazy about FoTC as I used to be. But they'll always be in my heart. And I'm so happy for all of you that are excited/crazy. It is a really fun ride. They are not only extremely talented, they are genuinely good people. And from what I've read, so are you all. Good people, I mean, though I'm sure a few of you are also talented.

Basically the reason I still come back and lurk is that I'll never really be over them. And I'll always wish the best for them and want to know what's up with them. That's how it is when you love someone.

Aw, that was a lovely post, Deirdre! I'm sure I'll eventually get to where you are....maybe ;)....the love is still running hot, lol, since I've only known them for (not quite) a year. Ohhh, to have found them sooner....

Your vid with them is classic! And hearing how you got to hang out and chat....really great! :) I need to watch TO again, now.... :)

Ratashak and kipples- yes! Just jump on in...we're up to talk about pretty much anything be it the guys or just about anything else! :D The more the merrier.
(Plus....have you guys ever considered taking up ukulele??)

Hey kipples, pop on over to the Introduce Yourself thread for a proper introduction and meet the whole gang.

Well said, Dierdre, and so well written as always. :thumb:

Thank you so much Gracie! I used to just go search Youtube for the different parts. Now, to figure out how to download what you so kindly posted. I used to know a lot more computer stuff when I lived at WTF. :type: Anyone happen to know which part I am in? I'm afraid I've forgotten.

And yes Laura, got ukes. I actually have two touristy ones from gift shops when I was on my first trip to Hawaii. But by the second trip to Hawaii I was ready for the real thing thanks to my friends at WTF and the inspiration of Bret and Gemma's group. There were a few of us here learning. I bought a really good quality one in Hawaii and learned to play (not as well as my cohorts, I'm sure). Now it lives up in my closet. I'm sure I'll try my hand at it again someday.

Nancy, wow, you really didn't have to say that. :roll2:

*comes out of lurking for a brief moment*

Hello! I've been here on and off for the past two years or so. I've tended to post mostly only when the guys are touring. I just don't have much to contribute, and with it being my second semester in law school, I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to posting either. but I read the forums everyday!

Part 4! :cheer: There I am with Mr. D. Can't miss that. So my second daughter, Mr. D and I watched it. I love the way Jemaine reacts when the girl tells Bret she felt like she was in heaven. The folks right before us were Shelly and John, really nice people.:thumb: We hung out with them at the shows that day and kept in touch for quite a while. I think Bret landed on John when he jumped into the crowd. :bounce: And Shelly contributed some photos to WTF after SXSW.

I was so HAPPY that day!

:topic: Sorry, this is supposed to be about lurkers. I just got carried away.

Hi Deirdre!

Don't worry about it. Please feel free to share more with us, it's so amazing to hear first-person accounts about those days. Especially the moments that happen off-screen in that classic documentary. You can go crazy with it here.

Rhymenocerous, nice to see you! I remember reading your account of a show last spring. Was it Boston, or Philly or somewhere near the East Coast? Feel free to reminisce as others have been doing recently in the Bret and Jemaine threads. But it's understandable that you may not have much time with school and all.

Kipples, join in any time!

Have I missed anyone? :worry:
