Best ad-lib of the night, though -- there was a young woman who had been carrying a sign, saying she'd "do the robot for a spare ticket." There weren't many spare tickets to be had, though.

Apparently, someone came up with a ticket for her. She got in some time after us, and gleefully did the "robot" for the audience, to cheers (everyone had heard her pitch). She did a pretty good "robot." Then she even lucked into a front-row seat because someone vacated theirs. (It's not often you get general admission AND seating.) She was a couple of seats away from [son]. I had the camera and didn't want to be that close, so [daughter] and I were back a row.

Later, Jemaine was just doing patter, saying how glad he was to see us all in the audience, and said something along the lines of, "I hope you have bits prepared," and the "robot girl" shout went up from the audience. "Ah, yes, robot girl ... " Jemaine says, peering into the front row, and his face drops. He rests a beat. "I'm sorry, but I'm disappointed ... I was expecting something entirely different."

THAT WAS ME!

I carried a sign that said "will dance robot for spare ticket" all night. A really nice man ended up giving me (yes for free) an extra ticket he had at the last minute (after about 3 hours of trying)! I got inside and everyone started chanting "robot! robot!" so I did it and everyone cheered! Then I was looking for a seat and a girl in the front row (center!) signaled to me - she said she saved me that seat in case i got in! I know!

really really nice people like Fotc apparently!

oh yeah, and i liked how when they we're talking about the 'robot girl' on stage they were both looking right at me and waving!

I'm getting pictures developed right now and will post them ASAP!

AND for everyone in New Zealand! I was interviewed (a lot) by a New Zealand TV channel, but I don't know which one...
But If you watch New Zealand TV look for me and my robot sign!!

C - it was definitely your night! The set list was a great one!

Big important questions: How do Jemaine's lips look up close from the front row?? What was he wearing? :D

Your pictures have to be hosed on the internet. You can't post them directly from your computer.

Go to this link and it'll give you some more detailed info.
