What the Folk!

It is a judgement call and one I don't make lightly. I've always strived to not delve into the guys personal lives too much. They are both private people and neither of them seem to really relish all the attention they garner in the US when out and about.

The pic you posted that I removed was what I consider 'off duty' and also was not posed for. As it was you posted the Emmy pic not long after I removed the other one. I let that one stay as it was posed for and also as it was a public event.

Since I began this site I have always tried to stick to covering their careers as much as possible. I don't really see why I should go into their personal lives. Both are really down to earth decent people and their partners are not part of the Conchords .

Nasty intent or not when people post personal off duty pics I try to be considerate and stick to my policy as far as possible. The thing is, most people are not aware Hannah was in the background in the show. She is not an actress or a performer. Until she appeared in recent pics and so on there were no official pics of her out there really and very few unoffocial ones. She has remained, like Miranda very much in the background. It is only in more recent times that the guys have even really talked about their partners in interviews. And then only briefly. I like to respect their privacy.

FWIW I felt much of what was posted (not really meaning this site but others out there) about Miranda and Jemaine marrying was really crap, even if intended in humour. Both the guys have been with their partners for many years, long before they were famous in the US.

My dealings with Hannah have always been pleasant and I have no wish for her to have things written about her as happened with Miranda. Alas I fear it may happen. But hopefully not on this site.

I feel if I start to go down the route of posting about their personal lives then its the beginning of the end for the standards I set myself and this site. So I'll not go there.

Anyways, hoping this has cleared things up once and for all.

Very well put, Sherry. I resent what i've been reading about Miranda..we shouldn't even get to know their names (hers and hannah's). Because as much as I admire and love the guys as performers..how hot i think Jemaine is..and how adorable and down to earth they are offstage, their private life is theirs and we should be anything but happy that they're as succesful in their careers as they are in their personal lives. People who truly likes them should show some respect.. besides, this kind of behaviour may end with their closeness to the fans for good.

Come on, we were all invited, it was a great time. Where were you?

I never really wanted to know about their WorG's. It destroys my love of Jemaine a teeny bit.

It destroys mine a bit but increases it a bit oddly enough. But ultimately it's best not to know about all that.

It's a good thing no pics were allowed coz I got a bit trashed at the after registry reception.

I imagined I was there also - did you all see me dancing with Jemaine? We had such a marvelous time.

We each took a turn dancing with Snake Hips - except H who was busy with the clean up.

Even a thread specifically about Bret turns into one about Jemaine....

Because Jemainiacs a spend more time in Bret's threads than Breteros spend in Jemaine's.
