Live Transmission: Only Sukkie Bubbas Use Laser Guns is written and performed by Adam Gardiner, Brett McKenzie and Taika Cohen.

A comedy science fiction, the story is of an unholy love between man and machine set against an alien invasion.

Recorded in front of an audience at Bats Theatre, Wellington, all the music, sound effects and characters are created and performed live.

i've had the most fun perusing this radio new zealand site, playing back interviews and such with bret and jemaine. currently listening to 'jemaine playing his favourites' when he sits in for another radio host and discusses life thus far (at that time) with the other host. regarding fame, he says his cellphone is ringing a lot, the host asks who'd been calling him and jemaine says, "...i don't know, i don't answer it."

and him talking about his version of "if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands".. priceless!

This news makes me really happy.

I wish I had something more substantial and profound to say, but I don't. It just makes me happy. Unholy love between a man and a machine sounds like absolutely classic Bret territory, and I, for one, am delighted to hear that he's getting back to his robo-pervert roots.

I wish we had a robot smiley that I could use here.

Ah, yes!! I remember when that aired! Oscar Knightly (Bro' Town) was hosting. He chose some random songs (including Bright Eyes by Simon & Garfunkel. Ha!) and talked about getting paped by the Dom Post. Hilarious! Jemaine was pretty "guarded" though. :lol:

Did you come across the other interview on the Weekly Maori show? One of the hosts went to high school with him and they spend a lot of time reminiscing about school & growing up in Masterton.

And are you sure about the time? Its only 3.29am in Welly atm. Its an 11 hour time difference from me. I know this well due to hubby living there for a while.
