Which one is the Trachtenburg shirt? I guess the famous red striped sweater is also his, since he was wearing it on the Conan O'Brien show. I think it also mentioned on the original FOTC website in one of Jemaine's posts that he had bought it not that long before. I find it kind of funny that some of their own wardrobe makes it into the show. I guess that's bareboned grassroots programming for you. There was one interview where the journalist said they changed their clothes after shooting and the journalist said he/she couldn't really tell the difference. (Although, I'm sure Bret doesn't wear animal shirts.)

Still love the penguin pajamas. They crack me up, and he looks so huggable in them. Like that posted picture above too.

I'm sure that at least a couple of the ones on the TV show are his own... and others he's picked up here and there for himself to wear...

...But I still can't shake the notion - as mentioned in the OP - that there may be somebody out there who actually gets to go around choosing Tshirts for Bret to wear. Can you imagine the fun you'd have, if that was your job?

I know that would be the best job, picking out the shirts! Wouldn't it be fun to just find something in the women's section of Goodwill, and say, "here, wear this..." (That's what some of the shirts remind me of...like the "You quack me up" shirt) What bothered me was somewhere on the forum it mentions that the costume designer actually orders and makes up some of the shirts. I agree with someone earlier, who said "that's cheating"... I would think the fun of Bret's shirts would be actually finding these gems that really existed (not making them up).

I think I once read a little interview with Rahel Afiley (couldn't find it now when I tried to google it), where she talks about shopping for drift store clothing with B&J, and how the guys are really into that - at least for an hour or so. Or maybe it was an interview with B and/or J where they talked about shopping with her, but anyway – sounds like a nice job

I am fortunate enough that, on most days, I come home buzzing with love for my job. But sometimes I can get just a little bit tired of it. Now, a job that involved dressing the Conchords - who could get tired of that? I might not even need a bucket of coffee to get me out of bed in the morning .

I can't even imagine how amazing it would be if I got to dress the Conchords every day! That would be a dream come true (providing that's what you are into )

One of my favourite things about watching the episodes is making note of the various shirts that Bret wears. They just crack me up every time.

He does look good in the inner city pressure video. I also love the British accent he puts on in that one. It makes him very sexy (not that he wasn't already ). Thanks for the baby polar bear! Love that one.

I might be relationshipically challenged, but I think embroiding your ex into a shirt is not a standard practice. (Did I use the right preposition, or should I've written in or on a shirt? I wish I had payed more attention to English grammar back in high school...)
