More jersey talk

I really liked the thing when I saw it on Craig Ferguson. And then I saw it on Conan. And then it was in Rolling Stone. So... the only time he didn't wear it was the HBO special. And he was wearing a sweater, so it could've been there underneath.

And nobody really talks about the Ferguson performance. But I thought it was better than the Conan. Except I liked the thing about Light(Like?) of the of Conchords. :o

The HBO show was filmed quite a ways before the Conan and Ferguson spots. And iirc on the guys site, they say that the striped sweater is new, that Bret bought it about a month before.

Does that help?

And o dear, I do rememeber way to much trivial detail

Is the Craig Ferguson performance online anywhere?

Maybe he just packs light and doesn't bother with a bunch of stuff. Or maybe he spilled something on the NZ sweatshirt and couldn't wear it.

Or maybe it was the most "folky" think he had with him.

Or maybe he just really likes it.

The options are endless, really. :)

As for his age, being 33 myself, I'm relieve that he's at least 29. Makes me feel less of a cradle robber and all!

I haven't heard about it being online - but it most likely is! I taped it off Tv on a VHS. I have a friend who could transfer it from the VHS to digital, it would be later in the week, though.

I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one here who would be interested in it, if that was possible.

In the meantime, does anyone have the specific show information, such as air date, guests (I notice Eugene Levy was there). Maybe I can track it down that way.

I think I have that as an mpeg somewhere 8)

Give me a few hours as am busy, but I'll see what I can do and upload it :) The sweater looks good in it. It'll soon be more famous than Bret.

*edit*
Its not compressed, so a bit on the large file side. Ho hum

The now infamous striped jersey. Perhaps one day they will look back on that day as the day that changed it all...or perhaps not.

I really liked the Craig performance as well. Loved the remix and the "Stop! They're not ready for me to freestyle -- they're ready, bring the beat back!" The beat boxing was especially good as well.

And er...I don't fancy Bret's jersey too much, I'm afraid. Too large for his skinny arse. Makes him look even skinnier than usual, actually.

So I totally thought this thread was about Bret and the state of New Jersey until I realized it meant "sweater". :roll2:

That's what I assumed as well.

As one of my English friends once teased "are you gonna sweat in it?"
To which I replied "no. I'm going to JERSE in it."

Isn't Bret's thingy actually a jumper though? Maybe he's going to jump in it.

My mother thinks its funny they call it a jumper. She claims that a jumper is a dress not a sweater.
Do you want to borrow my jumper Bowie?

Apparently, I'm two years late answering this question, but:

heh. I think I saw it about two years ago, too. Ah, back in the days when stuff like that was rare and hard to come by! You lot have it so easy now!
