Me neither, not a rings fan (though I enjoyed the films and thought Aragorn was a tad hot) or a figwitter. I still find it unbelievable that anyone noticed him and that it became a big thing which lead to an FOTC thing. 8)

Well I've never seen LOTR either, but with mentions of SleepyBret and SmilingJem, as a good little Bi-Conchordian how could I pass that up? :D

I've watched the first film, and now it looks like I'll have to watch the other two as DP junior has almost finished the book and wants to watch them. She's looking forward to Figwit's reappearance :D

It is a weird weird phenomenon and I too find it incredible anyone noticed Bret at all as he's hard to catch at all in the first film, but it's great they did!

(and I had never heard about any of this until I got into the Conchords about 18 months ago...... . Not a LOTR fan :worry: )

It's really the Greatest of Great Hs that we have to thank. She's the one who did all the work. I just press buttons n stuff.

I hadn't heard of Figwit either, DP, even though I loved the Rings movies and books. I felt a bit daft when I realised that I'd been completely oblivious to it all. But you're not a fan, DP? I am. I have a soft spot for big, epic movies with swords and giants and bad guys with six fingers and rodents of unusual size. Or whatever. I wouldn't say I, you know, live in Middle Earth, but it's fun to visit every now and then.

I hasten to add, however, that I do not have parties with my hobbit friends, and nor do I sport pointy ears. One has to draw a line somewhere.

I am so glad you don't have hobbit parties or wear pointy ears. I don't know if I can watch that bit of the Figwit film again....

I'm just going to follow DP around, nodding in agreement with everything she says. I must admit, I definitely prefer Bret in his normal, non-elf form.

True and ditto! But you must admit, his elf form was quite pretty.

Oh my gosh, that was a delight to watch! Bret is just so effing cute! And that thousand-watt smile of Jemaine's..... Such a cute story of how the whole thing happened. :)
