No, nothing exciting at all really. Just went to the gig and went home again.

Bummer. What song was your favorite? Did the audience know Bret would be there or was it a jolt? Was he in the audience for the rest of it? Did Bret just do the one song with them? How did you enjoy seeing the WIUO live? :D

A bit of backstage rehearsals. Nigel's vocals

Now I have to go back and watch Bret shake it again. Thanks SO much for capturing Hey Ya for us, kipples! :prayer:

Ok, let's see if we can sort this out once and for all. Embedding a video does work, it's just that the YouTube link needs to be of a certain format. For example, the YouTube link you posted, Laura is a shortened youtube URL. As you can see, your link begins with: "http://youtu.be" but the link needs to be like this: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXX"

I think nonch pointed out an easy way of posting the right YouTube link. When you're watching the video on YouTube, click on 'Share' which can be found underneath the video:

Image

You should then see the URL appear in a box underneath the video. Click on 'Options' underneath the URL box:

Image

Then check the box for 'Long link':

Then copy and paste the URL in that box:

Now you can copy and paste the URL between the tags to embed the video in your post:

Let me know if this works for you now. :)

Ah....I always click on the share button and then c/p the blue highlighted addy it gives me there. But I didn't know you had to click for long addy. It used to be that I clicked share and that addy worked here between the YouTube thingies. :D

Thanks! :)

Not my favorite Smiths song but, they've done this song before, was Nigel singing in the other versions? I'm not sure I love the vocal on this. :hrm:
