Seems that Jemaine has another project in post production. I was mucking around this morning and found this:

Dinner for Schmucks

Tim (Rudd) is a rising executive who "succeeds" in finding the perfect guest, IRS employee Barry (Carell), for his boss's monthly event, a so-called "dinner for idiots," which offers certain advantages to the exec who shows up with the biggest buffoon.

Release Date: 23 July 2010 (USA)

Cast:
Steve Carell ... Barry
Paul Rudd ... Tim Conrad
Stephanie Szostak ... Julie
Jemaine Clement ...Kieran Vollard
Zach Galifianakis ...Therman
Lucy Punch ... Darla
Bruce Greenwood ...Fender
David Walliams ...Müeller
Ron Livingston ...Caldwell

Production Companies:

DreamWorks SKG
Paramount Pictures
Spyglass Entertainment

Wow, Jemaine is working with Steve Carell in 2 movies and for Dreamworks. Gosh. :|

I wonder if he will be available to tour the UK mid year with Despicable Me & this movie due to for release? I'd imagine that there would at least some commitment as far as promotion/press. Makes me wonder even more about the timeline for the Europe tour.

Also this link takes you to several little news articles about the film.

Woo hoo, found a bit of video, its just a blurb with Paul Rudd & Steve Carell, really funny. They must have had a blast making this film.

My guess is that the UK tour would be in spring. And the tour won't last as long as the North American one did, so I think there'd be ample time for him to do both :)

Pretty impressive cast list. Looks like it could be a good one.

I thought they already announced it as a summer UK tour. I agree that Jemaine's going to be pulled in many directions for film promos (if his roles warrant it), so we'll have to see.

 that he can squeeze the tour in. (and still wants to) Thanks for posting this, 4ever!!!

Yay! This sounds great! So many of my favorite comedians in one movie. I can totally see Jemaine as a snooty business exec in some expensive suit and slick haircut. He makes arrogant so funny! But I can also imagine him as one of the schmucks since he plays quirky and weird so well too. But with a name like Kieran Vollard, I'm guessing exec.

I can't wait to hear what accent/voice he uses this time. :purple: 'Kieran' is Irish, no? And 'Vollard'...French?

:yay: Thank you so much for finding out about this, 4ever! Jemaine, Paul, Steve, Zach and David? Yep definitely going to see this is the cinema when it's out in the UK! (currently scheduled for 20th August 2010 according to IMDB). Can't wait! :D

Looks like Jemaine is definitely going to be a busy bee during the summer! I would guess that they'd tour in May/June or August. August would be a good month to tour the UK especially with all the summer music festivals going on around that time should they wish to perform at them. I doubt that they'd tour any earlier than May but we'll see!

:topic: Ah yes, there are so many possibilities of Jemaine's character. Looking forward to hearing more info about this film. 8)
