Yeah he isn't being himself on FOTC even though he looks like himself, he's acting. I found it weird in one of his online interviews about EVS he said he's not an actor -huh? I don't know if that means that he considers himself more of a comedienne than an actor but clearly he's both, as well as a musician, very talented indeed.

if i saw that clip from gb and didn't know it was him i think it would have taken me a while to realize it was him, i think it takes a good actor to really become someone else like that in a role--and even tho his character on the show is so understated (bret's too) they manage to be so funny in such a subtle way, i think it takes a lot of talent to do that as an actor as well as a comedian...

Most actors say comedy is much harder than drama. And the guys do it so effortlessly.
I like the way Jemaine looks and sounds so different - more fun for him, I'm sure, but I can see why his hair's been so long. (In case they have to do retakes)
Have you noticed on his website that when you move your mouse, his eyes follow it? Kinda creepy. :worry:

Oooh! The eye thing is kinda creepy. I kept trying to make him go cross-eyed. lol

I love that youtube clip! I used to go to all kinds of yoga meditation thingys, that is such a good spoof. I'm looking forward to this movie now! I loved napoleon dynamite too. Weird to see him with my grandmothers hairdo though lol.

I can't deal with him without the glasses, but that carefully coiffed hair is too much!

I couldn't place the accent, and then someone said it was James Mason and *ding*! He sounds exactly like James Mason.

Yup, it's James Mason. I love the sound of Jemaine's voice in that clip. It's calming yet creepy.

Oh yeah, he does a pretty good James Mason. And calming yet creepy  nails it - I'm sure that's the definition of his character. The hair really gets me - so bouffy!

I didn't even pay attention to the hair -is it a wig? I was more thrown off by the wardrobe and Jem without his glasses is always a shock.

I don't think it is a wig, there were photos of Jem around the whole filming time with big hair...

Yes, I think that's why his hair sometimes looked rather unruly on tour - in case they needed to do retakes of any scenes.
I have to admit I've always been a sucker for a guy in glasses. I like the J-dog better with his, although it is nice to see him change his look so drastically for GB. He's like a"chameleon", if you will.

So wait a minute, if he's doing a James Mason voice, does that mean he's playing God? 8)
