LOL! It's what the rag trade call a "covered placket". There are buttons, but they're covered, often for ease of wearing said shirt under a sweater.

You guys are killing it here. You could all write for NZ Men's Vogue.

Hahaha! In the Spring 2010 edition, our fashion experts will predict what Jemaine will be sporting this season as well as what jandals you should pair with your outfit. Mockingbird, can you write 500 words on why Jemaine should avoid hats (with the exception of the cowboy hat)? Could someone do an editorial on recommended frames for Jemaine's face shape? And denim! How about a denim fashion spread? Also, How to Accessorize with Man Bags/Murses!

Let's talk about Jemaine's latest look, "the dirty sexy hippie" in here. :D

Okay. I like it. 'nuff said.

Can we also talk about J's 2010 Tour look here too? When I first saw J in the new western shirt in Amsterdam I thought - hot dam that shirt is fine. I still think it is but is there such thing as too much of a good thing? Why did he wear the same shirt every night of the tour? There is no answer that is sufficient yet an answer is in order. Did it begin to smell like Jem funk? Was it laundered nightly (doubtful)? The list of questions is endless.

The way I've learned to tell the Vegas & Hollywood photos apart is that in Vegas, fittingly, he undid and extra button AND he smooshed down his hair so that it clung nicely to his big round little noggin whilst in LA he floofed it up a smidge. Which look do you prefer?

Vegas. Hands down. The only thing that could've improved it would have been another button undone.

I hear you on the shirt - it's a lovely shirt and it sure looks good on him but enough already. I was just happy they put on some real jeans to do Sugalumps in LA instead of the droopy tear-away drawers. Hmm. In fact that might sway me a little bit towards LA, now that I think about it. :hrm:

I prefer as few buttons as possible, and tousled hair. Maybe I can create the desired look by splicing 2 photos together. The stubble way perfect on both nights. :)

Someone needs to design a buttonless, button down shirt for Jemaine. You want to talk about issues? For starters, how about we liberate those buttons.

Stubble was spot on both nights.

I'm Vegas all the way. I like the smoothed down hair. It's just a shame he wore the same shirt all the time coz we know how many cool shirts he has and how good he looks in all of them. A little variety would have been nice.

Vegas for sure.

I wonder what the deal was with that 1 shirt?? Did he take 5 of them on tour and rotate as they got dirty, allowing Matt time to launder them? :hrm:
Or was it just the same one over and over....his "work shirt," with the rest of his luggage full of after-party clothes.....
