I agree, the more tailored suit is a very nice thing, especially on J. :purple:
I am headed down under-er very soon! I'm leaving on June 17th and will arrive just in time for the first show! I'm so excited, I can't stand it! Now...to get a good camera....

Excitement! I got a new camera yesterday coz my old one was 7.1 megapixels and they are much higher these days, plus mine was crap for nighttime and had no audio with the video. I got a Canon Powershot ELPH 110HS because I know a couple of people who have one and I like the quality of the pics and vids.

Agreed, I love the colour of Jemaine's suit. He wore it very well. :)

I just looked up the camera. Good choice! It looks like my Canon but mine's an older model since I got it a few years ago. I like the super compact design too.

Very excited for you, tynant. :D

I remember liking your little camera Venus. I've been practicing a bit on it and I really like it so far. The zoom is only a little bit higher than my old one but the quality is MUCH better, maybe that's coz of the pixels? I dunno, I'm just happy it seems to work and is not too complicated.

Yes, it is an easy camera to operate and produces high quality pics and video. Videos in particular turn out really well on my camera. The main downside of my camera is the zoom which is only "3x" so if I was to buy a new one, I'd make sure it has a higher zoom since that is definitely useful at gigs etc. Have you tried it in low light/night yet?

I did take some pics out on my deck last night and it really lit up certain areas but other areas not as much, though it was still much better than my old one where everything would look grainy in low light. Even the pics I took at barely dusk at the MIB3 premiere last week turned out dark and I had to lighten them later.

I just downloaded some video but it's not playing properly on my computer. It's pixelating and freezing. I think it's because the file size is enormous. I have the same problem with vids from my video camera. I think they need to be compacted but I don't remember how to do that.

Oh OK, it does seem like low light settings is a tricky one for most digital cameras. My friend's Sony camera handles low light really well.

Hmm, that's strange about the video playback. You should be able to change the quality of the video on the camera as well. The default may be HD e.g. 1280x720 but there are also options for lower quality videos like 680x480 and 320 x240 etc. which don't take up as much file space.

Ok..so after asking my fancy photographer friends and shopping around a bit, it would appear that the Canon PowerShot ELPH 110HS is the way to go. I need to get it soon so that I can practice using it a bit before my trip. :boogie:

You're right. I haven’t been able to locate where to change it though so I’ll have to look at the manual.

Glad you also enjoyed the film, Livi! There could potentially be some good outtakes/behind the scenes footage/deleted scenes of Jemaine on the DVD & Blu-ray so looking forward to hearing more about that. :)
