You may like this one. One pic per member, per day. Of your favourite Bret or Jemaine (hopefully with the surnames McKenzie or Clement  )

Make is something special, something with some meaning. A picture that makes you feel

 :waggle:    or :thud:

Or something like that. You get the idea I am sure :purple: And share with us why you chose it. Others will I am sure will happily partake of your pic and share their own :macarena:

O and did I mention you get to natter freely about said pics? Just don't go mad with repeat quoting of them all   Thanks

*This thread will be locked and archived once a month (and possibly deleted dependant on how the new set up goes with everyone)

What, you are still here?

Pretty obvious why I chose this one. I love the one of him with my hubby equally as Tom looked pretty smitten himself, lol.

It was just one of the best nights ever. Got to see the Conchords live, meet some new friends made here on the board, and then meet Bret and Jemaine- 2 of the nicest, most gracious and down-to-earth guys around. All the pics from that night make me smile like a loon, but this one a little bit more so, of course.

Love the expression between Bret & Jemaine. :yay: It was the first day of the 2008 Tour in Philly and my first time seeing them live.

I remember seeing Bret watch Eugene Mirman's set from a side door - checking out the audience vibe.
The show was hilarious and they seemed like they were having a blast!

Why this one? Well, it was the first time I had ever seen Jemaine in person since I've never seen them play live. And he was right there. So close I could have reached out and touched him, but I restrained myself. ;)

I really like that one makikat! I don't think I've seen that one before! :D My favorite one is something I made on gimp. It's a look at the happy place inside my head, where I er... have a really nice view from my grooming table.

Image

You guys are probably sick of it as it was my signature for soooo long. But, it still makes me really happy!

I wish I had gotten a picture of Jemaine when I first laid eyes on him, when he was walking past the casino with Nigel to get to The Joint in Vegas. It would have been one of those super rare pictures that no one else had (because I was the only one there).

I figured since Laura started with hers, I'll start with mine as well. I love how happy everyone looks in their fans photos. Tom's was great too! It makes me giggle because it looks as though Tom was thinking, "Holy crap! I'm standing next to Jemaine Clement, OoOooOoOoOh!" I have a few other pictures in mind for the next few days.

Image

Most of you already know the story but for newbies, this was taken by 4everconchordsfan. The folder in his hand was a photo album she put together for him. This is special to me because...
a.) This was the first time I met him
b.) He was hugging me
c.) I met 3 lovely and very kind WTF! members from Chicago that night

This never would have happened if this board didn’t exist.

Ooh I like this thread. :)

Makikat's pic has meaning for me too as I was also there for their first show of the 2008 tour and it was my first time seeing them live as well.

When Sherry mentioned that the pic you post should have some meaning my first choice was obvious. This photo reminds me a night of warm weather, 2 great shows with excellent seats and good times shared with someone I met here, the beguiling Ms. Sully.

I like this pic because of the way J's arms and hands seem so natural around me, as if we'd been in this position many times before ( :P ) I think he looks sweet, like a big, cuddle bear and I like how he smiles ever so slightly without actually smiling.

But mostly the pic symbolizes to me how generous and accommodating Jemaine is (and Bret too!) with fans.

Awww... this thread makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! :heartbeat:

DT, I could never tire of any picture that has Jemaine in it, and I actually miss seeing that as your sig because I like it a lot... Jemaine, a St. Bernard and duckies! what could be better than that?!

And I love seeing fellow WTFers photos with Jemaine and/or Bret because the happiness that they bring to us is so evident in our faces and it just makes me happy to see that.

So here's me and Jemaine from a different angle than my av:

Image

This picture was taken by Red and you can also see Bakergirls hands and camera in the lower right corner. I love it as it documents the moment that I stood next to Jemaine and he put his hand on my back (if only I'd asked for a hug!) and because it brings back memories of spending a whole day hanging out at a bookstore with some lovely ladies that I met thanks to this wonderful forum.

We were a determined bunch. Going around to the back door, so we could see him again before he left. Who knew he was going to actually get out of the car? He was very sweet to do that.

Well mine is pretty obvious why it's my favorite too.

This was a great 2 days with Faith, 4ever, FunnyS and Red. And of course Jemaine. Just when I thought my chance of a pic were done I got one. :D And well most of you all know how it happened and what not. For the newbies, this was taken after the BookPeople event in Austin,Tx after Fantastic Fest. I can't believe it was 3 weeks ago.
I can't remember if Red took this or FunnyS.
