Okay, so in "Think... " I don't recall which part it is exactly, but after their little "What is wrong with the world today?." Jermaine says something "what is wrong with the world today, slkf lkdjf sljfls?" and I always wondered what it was. LIke it was never clear. And the audience laughed and I was like huh? Hehe, mumbling is funny. Thanks in advance.

I think he really is just mumbling and it's the mumbling that's the joke. Like he's in the groove (freestyling, so to speak), but realizes he doesn't know what to say that will fit the rhythm or something like that. I think someone else explained it a little more clearly than that in another thread here.

I always hear it really clearly as

"I never said there was anything wrong with it"

Sorry about putting my reply into your post  I hit 'edit' not 'quote' and my lovely admin status did the rest. All fixed now :)

Sherry, I think it's in the HBO version that he mumbles the line. I'm guessing it's clearer in other versions. (And since I just got my CD today, I'll go check!)

Wow! I always thought I had good hearing, but your ears must be extra sharp. I went back and listened and still couldn't make it out that clearly. I can kind of hear it, but not completely.

*bows before Sherry's greatness*

I still hold that he mumbles it somewhat intentionally, though. :)

lol I may be wrong about what I hear, but I have pretty good ears. I am told.

Its odd, cause so many people seem to have problems understanding the guys words in places, yet apart from the odd word, I hear everything so clearly, no problems.

This is where the guys now publish their lyrics and I am proved wrong a million times over

I've understood everything else (well, outside of the pawn/porn debate), it's just that one line that throws me. Oh well. At least I have an idea of what to listen for when I hear it now.

I've heard it two ways:

"Never said nothing's wrong with it..."

and

"Didn't think anything's wrong with it..."

Both are equally mumbled in a Jemaine-like fashion.
