1st thought - Sweet! And certainly not too pricey, either!

2nd thought - How do you misspell, "Rhymenoceros? with an "F"?

That is pretty cheap for a songbook. I'll go down to Guitar Center to see if they have it before I order online. I've been needing a book, because my printouts can get pretty unorganized.

F and R are very close on the keyboard. :dunno: Or maybe it's a regional dialect. :D

I would like to have an indepth conversation about how to play their songs, if anyone's interested.

I should clarify - by "indepth" I mean, YOU are indepth, *I* am clueless. OK, not that bad but I just have trouble with their songs, for some reason. Like Bret U Got It... why is it all bar chords? I stink at bar chords, and it looks like he's only picking 2 strings anyway, so what's with all the freaking bar chords?? (Sorry, I have issues with bar chords.)

And I STILL can't get the bass run right on If You're Into It. I can strum it fine, I mean heck it's only 2 chords, but that thumb bass line just won't fall into place for me.

*sigh* I should buy the book I guess.

If you want to discuss how to play them it might be best to start a new thread for each song or else discuss it in the already active threads with the tabs/lyrics. That way each song will be findable more easily.

If new topics are started and it would work better if they were in already active threads I can always merge them.

Nothing to be sorry about. I wasn't cross about anything or saying you could not talk about it. I was merely making suggestions for the best place to discuss that sort of thing. I just thought active threads with tabs/lyrics in might be more logical than a new thread for each thing or one super thread where you talk about various songs.

I guess it depends how much convo there is and how many songs you get in to.

See how it goes :)

P.S. I'm going to do these in this thread then move them to their appropriate locations laterly. because I'm a rebel.

Nonbarredguitar chords to be used -
(usually they are mostly 7ths, but with the voice changes using 7ths gets a little icky sounding)
Dm(7)- XX0231 (XX0211)
A - X02220
Bb - XX0331 (XX3331)
C(7)- X32010 (X32310)
F- XX3211
G- XX0433
Gm - XX0333
Am7 - X02010

Dm_____________A
Hey there Bret, I see you looking down.
______Bb______________________C__________A
Don't want to see my little buddy there with a frown.
Dm____________________A______________________Bb______________C_________________A
Just because I get more women than you, well that's only because they don't know you like I do.
Dm___________________A
Sure, you're weedy and kind of shy.
__________Bb________________________C__________A
But some girlie out there must be needy for a weedy, shy guy.
Dm_________________________A
They want you as the needle when they're rolling in the hay.
Bb_____________________C
Just hear me out when I say...
Dm____________A______F_____G
Bret, you got it going on.
____Gm________________________Am7_____________C7______________Dm7___(F)
The ladies will get to know your sexuality when they get to know your personality.

The rest follows the same patterns. There are a couple o' key changes(up a half step for the second chorus, up another half step after it), but they really can't be tackled without barring some chords

Uke Chords!
follow the above with these

Dm(7) - 2210 or (5555)
A - 2100
Bb - 3211
C - 5433 or 0001
F - 2010
G- 0232
Gm7 - 0211 or 3231(no7th)
Am7 - 0000 or 5453(no7th)
C7 - 3003
