Jem's voice is da shi-. He could easily make a living off doing voice overs alone.

A second trailer has just been released:

It's Despicable
13:30 Thu 05 November 2009

Somehow we managed to miss the first trailer for Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s 3D cartoon fest of daftness, Despicable Me, but this time we’ve caught it hot off the electronic presses, ready to pass on to the adoring public. The film, if you haven’t heard about it, is set in a nameless American suburb where the world’s number two Super Villain Gru is planning the theft of the moon. However, once three orphaned girls latch onto him, there’s sure to be some sort of emotional twist in the tale, etc etc.

However, never mind all that; what’s important here is that the animation looks almost as good as something out of Pixar’s imaginative little heads, and the film looks ready with all kinds of daft slapstick fun, as evidenced by the fantastically silly trailer above (where Gru does battle with his arch nemesis and number one Super Villain Vector). The voice cast looks good as well: Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Kristen Wiig, Will Arnett, Danny McBride, Jemaine Clement, Miranda Cosgrove and Julie Andrews. Eep. The flick is out in the States on 10 July next year, so keep ‘em peeled.

Feels very Incredibles-like. And I'll bet like the Incredibles, that scene won't even be in the movie. Looks really cool.

And, hey! they got Danny McBride to be in the movie, too!

That's what I'm thinking CJ! Aren't they cute? I'm looking forward to seeing this although I'll probably have to go by myself as my husband and non-fotc friends aren't fans of this genre.

I just noticed the gap. I wish we could have heard them talk, but the giggle is hilarious. I'll probably end up up going to this one by myself too, no one else I know really likes the animated movies.
