For the "out of towners", having a commercial air during the Super Bowl is like... winning the Super Bowl of commercials.

Super Bowl commercials became a big deal back in 1984 when Apple launched this one. Super Bowl commercials tend to be bigger, brighter, cleverer, more expensive, etc. than your average commercial and companies spend millions to have the commercial air during the game.

The lastest cost-per-ad that I heard was $2 million for a 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl. Ridiculously insane.

Yes Gayle said it well. The American Football championship game "The Super Bowl" has one of the single largest TV audiences annually. The ad spots will be the most expensive spots that these companies pay for every year. In fact the commmercials have become an event unto themselves. There are actually commercial watching parties. So for Outback to spend that kind of money and put their trust in J-Man says a lot. In fact I've heard it was more like 2.4-2.7 mil for 30 seconds.

He's right, you know. Some strategic clipping... some strategic non-clipping. Your lovely better half could help you out with that. I think you should consider it.

I got a response back, too! I also commented on the hair. It turns out the commercials were filmed a few weeks ago. However, he has to keep his hair similar to how it was in the film since they haven't done the pick-ups for the movie yet.

All right, I'm usually a very peaceful and gentle person but this guy made me mad:

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5309024

I won't make you read through his lame opinions, this is what was upsetting:

Worst corporate sponsor award ... Bud Light and Diet Pepsi deserve special ridicule for their loathsome ads, but that faux Aussie guy in the Outback commercials ... he raises hackles. When the revolution occurs, that guy will beg for mercy. It will not be granted.

I can only guess that he desperately needed something 'funny' to write and that is what he came up with..
