Oh, yay, I'm glad to see your situation has been resolved, Venus. Please, let there be a cd inside the new one! :pray:

Could be worth a fortune some day, but it sure would be nice to have one that you could play! :roll:

Here's hoping you get Venus' friend at SubPop, and may your replacement be on its way soon.

Hey everyone - Venus, it's good to hear that hopefully your case of the missing CD will soon be made right!

Thanks as well to everyone for the nice wishes on behalf of my record issue. (dt, your message had me cracking up - seriously, I have to CALL??? On the PHONE??? And talk to an actual PERSON??? :shock:

) No, I figured I would when there was some time during the week and so I did and everything's all taken care of. :rock:

The new one may not be purple though. The person I spoke to was nice and very glad to help. Also, they were going to trash the dud, so it's staying with me (it's tucked safely away for my retirement, Nancy :yawinkle:

).

I don't mind..hehe You got to admit the whole talking to an actual human is pretty inconvient. Ok... probably still just me. :worry:

Nope, not just you, dt. I hate talking to an actual person on the phone too. Isn't that why email was invented just so I wouldn't have to talk to people on the phone?

Hey guys! I just needed to sing Sub Pop's praises for a minute, because those folks sure do know how to make things right! You may recall my whining about not receiving any Conchords badges or stickers with my album order. (I feel like a really big whiner now, especially after seeing some people didn't even get the item they ordered, or received a damaged item.) Still, I sent an email letting them know, and politely asked if they had any extra Conchords goodies laying around, and if they could please send some my way. Well... I got a big surprise in the mail today! My apartment manager hands me this poster tube from Sub Pop, and I wonder why they chose to ship a badge and a couple of stickers in a poster tube. This is what I found inside:

A ginormous 24X36 inch poster of the album cover, and 2 Sub Pop stickers!

5 different badges

AND 2 double sided 18X24 inch posters of the boys and their "diamond tears", as well as a couple album art stickers.

Needless to say, this was far more than I was expecting, and I will be writing them a very appreciative thank you email! My birthday is on Wednesday, and Sub Pop gave me the best gift ever! I still feel like a whiner, but I am very grateful. Now I should march down there and hug the guy in the warehouse. :lol:

Tee hee...I wondered if this would inspire more complaint emails...

I didn't post about it to brag or anything, I just had to show you guys! (Since no one else in my life would even give a rip.) I'll definitely be doing business with Sub Pop again.

BTW, the diamond tears posters have Bret on one side, and Jemaine on the other. He must have sent me two so that I could look at both of their faces at once. Very generous!

Aw, we know you're not bragging...just happy and proud of the goodies you got (for your birthday!) and wanted to share!

Great stuff, and very cool of them to do that! If only more companies conducted themselves like that.....now you've spread the word and more people with have a high- or higher than before- opinion of SubPop and be more apt to buy from them in the future. Win-win!

(I'm a bit jealous of the posters, too, while also happy that you got them!)
