Hurt Feelings has been named as the 'Record of the Week' on the Shaun Keaveny show on BBC 6 Music radio. Also according to his page, Hurt Feelings is going to be released as a single in the UK on December 28th! :D

Flight of the Conchords – Hurt Feelings

Hurt Feelings: Released 28th December 2009

ITold You I Was Freaky: Out now

Hurt Feelings is the latest single from “folk comedy” two-piece, Flight of the Conchords. The first release from their up coming album,I Told You I Was Freaky,Hurt Feelings combines the twinkle of a toy piano with some tough urban beats.

I Told You I Was Freaky is their second studio album, the first being the self-titled 2008 release, Flight of the Conchords.

The pair – consisting of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement – are the stars of popular TV series, Flight of the Conchords.

The material for the first album was taken from season one of the show, and the material for the second from season two.

They won a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album of 2007 and were nominated for a Best Comedy Album Grammy in 2008.

There’s been a lot of high praise for the New Zealand duo. One critic observed, “Rarely has a band achieved so much with so little”, and Mojo are a fan of their ‘pitch perfect parodies’.

Earlier on this year Bret and Jermaine hit the road for a Spring US Tour.

I should have checked before coming here, but the Grammy nominations came out tonight. I'm thinking Freaky may have come out too late to be eligible for this year.

James Bobin: “It’s like a five-year-old and a three-year-old. Jemaine’s the five-year-old, and Bret’s the three-year-old. They’re both wrong, but the five-year-old thinks he’s right.”

Freaky won't be eligible until next year. The cutoff date for eligibility was August 31.

We have to keep it in the public eye! LOL!

That is a tough lineup. Patton Oswalt in particular - that whole routine is KILLER. Kinda glad it came out later...

Nancy, I had been listening to Internet streams of their album before my CD arrived but it's such a relief to have it now! It's a pleasure listening to the crystal clear versions of all of the songs. Admittedly, I wasn't too sure about the new mix of 'Too Many Dicks' when I first heard it but now I think it's a pretty cool mix and I appreciate both the album and HBO version. Love Jemaine's rap in 'I Told You I Was Freaky' and the additional verse in 'Sugalumps'. I think the choir is a nice touch in 'Angels' but I appreciate the Folk The World Version too. I really enjoy listening to the electro beat of 'Fashion Is Danger'. Ah, so many things to love about this album

Tonight I going to see a band called Baroness. Their leadsinger is John Baizley who did the cover art for ITYIWF. I didn't like it at first but it has definitely grown on me. It's a really small venue so I'm hoping for a chance to compliment him on it.
