Since the real Bret and Jemaine will still be around, I hope they write some more tunes and tour!

I agree. I'd rather they go out on a high note than run the show into the ground.
And if they're no longer having fun making the show, (if they ever considered making the show fun... doesn't sound like Jemaine did much) then they shouldn't keep doing it.
And as (I assume) Jemaine pointed out "the real Bret and Jemaine will continue to exist" and I much prefer the real Bret and Jemaine to Bret Mclegnie and Jemaine Clemaine anyway.
I'm happy with what we got, and I have my dvds which I can watch over and over again (and I often do) so, Thanks for the great 2 seasons, Jemaine, Bret and James, and I'm looking forward to more tours, hopefully, and whatever new projects you decide to work on!

It's what I expected....lots of us did, I'm sure.

While it's kind of bittersweet, I can't wait to see what's next and I know there'll be plenty more from them both.

I'm thankful they made the show, it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen and it brought me their music, movies, this place, all of you, the ukulele, WIUO, the Black Seeds, Video Kid, Phoenix Foundation, Taika's work....basically a lot of happiness!

No surprise but it still feels a bit melancholy to me & it must be for them as well as the end of anything often is. The show was their big break and it must have been an exciting adventure for them despite the hard work. I agree that the end was perfect and it would almost seem cheesy to come back after such an end. I'm glad that Bret & Jem will still exist ( ) and look forward to what they come up with next. Good on ya boys! *off to sob in the corner*

But this doesn't mean they can't do a one-off Christmas special or something, if the inspiration strikes, eh?!

Is it wrong I don't feel sad about this. I'm happy for them and glad they made it known to the world that they are moving on. Now if they decided to never tour or no more music... I'm happy for what they gave us, happy to have found them and ready for what's next.

Christmas special might be fun though.

Me too, I kinda knew they wouldn't make a 3rd series and I'm glad they didn't try to keep it going if it was something of a chore to them.

As long as they keep touring (i.e IN AUSTRALIA) I'll be happy

Aww, it was expected but it is a little sad reading that too. It goes without saying that they brought so much happiness to millions around the world with their TV show so they should be incredibly proud of what they've achieved so far. I totally respect their decision and I can't wait to see what is next on the horizon for both Bret and Jemaine both as FOTC and beyond.

I'm hoping there's alot of preparation going on for their UK/European tour. Can't wait for them to tour these shores!

And AUSTRALIAN tour!

Heck a NEW ZEALAND tour would be nice - I reckon we deserve one eh? Don'cha think?!

Ah NZers and Aussies have nothing to worry about! They did after all mention that they were considering a NZ/Aus tour before heading over to Europe.
