So with only a few days to go til Christmas, do you think you're more likely to give or get a "worst gift"? I like to think all my gifts are wonderful, but then I start to wonder, do they really like what I got them as much as I thought they would? :worry:

Without tooting my own horn, I'm a great gift giver :) I hoard things during the year and buy lots of little personal things :) But I always get old lady nighties from my nanny....so that's what I think will be my dud gift...

No chance of that! It's 36 outside :( And one of my aunty's always buys me really nasty perfume...perfume is a gift you shouldn't buy someone unless you KNOW they like it!

I've been dropping hints for years, maybe I should come out and say it... I even scratched at my neck to give the illusion of a rash...to no avail!

Sometimes the direct approach is the most successful - just come right out and say it!

Failing that, the charity shop?

I had some bath stuff I was badly allergic to last year (gave me thrush  ).

Not cool!

I've got a couple more to share from the paper:

"The worst gift I've ever received was a huge, beautifully wrapped present from my husband the first year we were married. It sat in the house for several weeks before Christmas, and I was aquiver with anticipation.
The big day came, and I eagerly tore into the box, to find...a laundry hamper."

"One year for Christmas I received from my cheapskate brother six half-used containers of dental floss, all individually wrapped. :geek:
The wrapping paper was wedding paper from his wedding gifts - he had been married ten years at that time.
He told me later that he had been cleaning out his medicine cabinet and thought I coud use these items."

And finally, someone on TV wrote in to say their worst gift was a box of assorted chocolates...with a bite missing from each chocolate! :bang:

Hope your gifts were better. Tell us about them on the new thread.
